    • Doesn't work for me either.

  • +1

Thanks I had a different $15 catch voucher emailed to me earlier today so check your emails if you already have a catch account (it is targeted). I did have to pay postage though since I don't have club catch.

    • I was able to get the free 30-day trial! Unless you've already used that on your account?

  • I need a Mario kart 8. Which they do not have it instock

  • Coupon not available :(

    • +1

This game banned in any countries?

    • +3
    • +3

Yeah banned in China lol. And I thought their lack of freedom of speech was bad

    • +18

Strange question to randomly ask. I'm sure you already knew the answer.

      • This game never officially released in mainland China. China Government banned to resell the game by people who purchased the game outside mainland China

        • +1

"“Taobao ‘banned’ the sale of imported video game discs and cartridges back in 2017, but this is something that hasn’t really been enforced all that much, only on select games,” he said on Twitter.

“The games where this policy has been enforced in the past usually fall under two criteria. One: The game has content or user generated content that is deemed to be too offensive or violent etc. Two: The game has become very popular and caught the attention of regulators.”"

It's not an official ban, but yeah… China…

    • What kind of disgraceful, deceptive, censorious, insecure, inept government would ban such a harmless, friendly, joyful and childlike game? Surely you jest.

      • -1

Well, Hong Kong terrorists used it as underground communication tool to oragnise vandalism, unlawful acts like bashing people with opposite views. People can have stabbed, set up on and burned alive by these people. Same method used by Islmaic or other organised crimes on other gaming network like playstations.

        • +1

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic, part of the Chinese 50 cent army, or a brainwashed nationalist.

          • -3

@Fappo: When you attack others like this, does say a lot about your own character, dog food.

            • +2

@FOX: "Dog food"… really? Not a good association to make if you're trying to defend China.

edit: and just to claify; I have nothing against Chinese people, but F the Chinese gov.

              • -1

@Fappo: Don't like politics, and not interested in what's right or wrong. I honestly don't give it (profanity) about political system. Just trying to think why they ban it, as your brain is too small to figure it out.

                • +1

@blackmam8a24: They banned it because free speech isn't allowed under a totalitarian government. Perhaps you should attempt to think a little harder about politics.

    • +1

Well, I went to check, it came back not only the online shopping web, but also back to the social media.

  • Coupon not currently available

  • Can't see why any retailer would bother discounting anything that's in such high demand especially in this climate….

  • -2

Actually this morning the game was already instock, with bonus A3 poster.

  • +6

Got it for $52. LatitudePay offers $15 free on $35 purchase, so just paid through that. 10 instalments of $5.20.

    • How did u get 15 off with latitudepay? Is there a deal going on with catch n latitude

      • +3

First purchase of an account has $15 off, also $10 referral bonus for the next order.

  • I've got a different $15 Catch code coupon, however will need to spend at least $60

    • +2

      Add some hand sanitiser

    • +1

Oh sorry I didn't specify but CATCH15 is min $60 spend but since Animal Crossing is over $60 it was still fine for me to apply. Sounds like it will work with your code too :)

  • If you have a code and you don't need it, could you please PM me? I've waited for it to be back in stock for sooooo long.
    Thanks in advance.

    • +2

Code is targeted, so won’t work on your account.

      • +2

Thanks for letting me know, I thought that means the code is unique. And I don't know why people neg me - why assuming everyone knows the exact meaning of "targeted"? And I was asking in a polite way anyway.

        • +1

Yeah it is targeted as I received a unique code in my email. CATCH15 did not work for me.

  • Oh… this is the banned game.

  • aww.. so sad it's targeted :(

  • +2

if only I could get a switch

  • +3

Excellent deal. I've paid 80 bucks for a digital copy. 155h in and I think it's totally worth it. Never been a life sim fan before this btw

  • +2

If you're looking for a relaxing little farming/fishing/life sim, you might be better off with Stardew Valley. I tried to get into the new Animal crossing, but eventually the lack of depth (and Horrendous dialog/menuing system) got to me, and I switched back to SV. Food for thought!

    • +1

How long did you spend on AC? Also, you do know the game is meant to be played in short bursts every day, it is in real time? Just asking because AC has huge amount of depth, so wondering if you actually played the game how it was designed to be played. For example, Stardew Valley is a completely different game in terms of pacing.

      • when building from tent to house, catch fishes and bugs, collecting fruit and buy clothes are too hard, don't bother sending mails… It might be a very different 'depth'

        • Don't forget you can collect crafting resources and DIY recipes, decorate outdoors, and complete achievement-style quests. Just to fill your 'depth' quota if you need help filling it. Then you can explore the daily Nook Miles challenges so you can buy plenty of Nook Miles tickets to find an island with rare loot. When you're bored you can fill out the museum.

      • Daily for nearly a month? There just isn't the depth of mechanics to make me want to come back to it any more. Plus once you've tried to mash your way through the same conversation you're hearing for the thousandth time, it gets rather grating.

        • +1

You have given it enough time. I'm sad for you, but not everyone will like the game.

  • +2

Thanks, grabbed this last night. Turns out I had $10 credit on there out of nowhere too so it was even cheaper.

  • Legit question: what's so good about this game ?

    • Likely controversial opinion: I think it's only as popular as it is because people are locked inside with a lot of spare minutes here and there to pick it up and play it.

    • For me, it's relaxing and cute and I can play at my own pace. I can play for two hours, just check in for twenty minutes, or leave it for a week and feel no obligations to it unlike what so many games seem to want to do to me these days. I can be a little creative and create designs for things, decorate my house, and make my town just right or just take a walk around town and look at the cute animals.

  • Hey all,

Just wondering if any of you received the game yet?

    Thanks

    • +1

I ordered the game yesterday and have received dispatch notification so might be best to fling them a message to chase the order… Guessing they were waiting for more stock and you're order is due to be sent?

      • Thanks Shad, will message them later

      • +1

Mine got shipped out today yay

        • +1

          Great news!!

  • Received mine yesterday, was unsealed and the back cover was melted… looks like a return from someone who got really frustrated with the game!?

    • Sorry to hear… mine was unsealed too and the top right corner at the back had remnants of a sticker ripped off but I managed to get most of the stickiness out. Game works perfectly though so have no complaints on my end.

      • Catch has the habit of putting an extra postal label in the parcel, so if you are unlucky it gets stuck onto the item inside. The sticky glue/melted cover you mentioned is probably due to that sticker. If you still have the sticker it should be a match.
