      Still waiting for something 2000A to be on special, 800A is not good enough to jump up my 3 liter v6.

        i doubt that. there are many people saying they can jump 5L v8s with no hassles. did you use the boost?

            @striker5950: We shall see when it arrives, i've got a 355 stroker with around 6L capacity. If it cant start it then it can go back.

            @striker5950: Do you have the 800A one? Do you use the boost button on the plug?
            It won't crank over my 5.7L when it's really flat (only gets out once a month if that) until you press the boost button.

        I've started my 3.3l petrol with this with completely dead battery no problem. No boost required

        I jump start my supercharged 5.7L from dead flat (no central locking, not one dash light, around 9V on the battery) and it cranks it over straight away. As said, use the boost button on the plug.

          Wow - that is impressive. Initially I thought that my battery was just flat but all it was good for was to complete the circuit so that I could drive to the nearest battery store.

    I have a different brand but essentially the same. It's hands down been my most used bit of kit. I've jumped a bunch of strangers, colleagues and myself (have a few project cars).

    Not having to carry around massive leads is such a perk. Plus it can charge your phone, you don't need to worry about lining up your cars on a busy street to jump them it makes it so much safer rather than getting in and out of doors, potentially facing traffic or making sure the cables are long enough if the batteries in the two cars are too far apart.

    If anything ever happens to mine I'll buy one in again in a heartbeat, being able to help others in need has been worth it alone.

    I see in the description it talks about usage with other 12V devices, air inflator etc. Where can I get a female cig adaptor?

    They have been regularly discounted and will go on offer again soon.
    I have the 20000mAh model which appears to be the preferred choice of fellow OzBargainers.

    Works perfectly each time and every time. Unit holds a full charge for about 3 months and this model is USB-C compatible. During a recent 24+hour blackout it kept our mobile phones recharged.

      Depends what you're using it for. I've had this for over 12 months, jump starts my V8 with no hesitation, I only check/top up it's charge every 6 months or so.
      You don't need the 2000A peak, it's more so for it's capacity over time I guess but this smaller one still lasts a very long time. It's a nice size to fit it's case and all attachments in the glovebox, the larger one might need to go in the boot?

    May be a while. They're not even stocking it all atm (let alone discounted). For the 10% battery difference and the likely significant price difference I'm happy to pull the trigger on this as it'll be able to jumpstart my Forester no worries.

    Got it this week with expedited shipping and it arrived the next day, got to use it right afterwards and it worked a treat, I would highly recommend this. I had to do 2 jumps within a few hours and the starter was still full!

    Just noticed by car portable starter battery swelled and lifted the casing. So took the plunge and ordered from Amazon the 2000A unit for $90 delivered. Hopefully it is as good as reviewed. Sad no cashback!
