My viewing distance is 2 metres, and while I love my old Samsung 55 inch led,(even after 10 years)you could be convinced it's oled at times but it's not.

My opinion on the current TV's
My con for my current TV, cannot stream content from phone to TV, it's base plates made of 18 kilo glass.

My con for the hisense 65 R8, the legs are designed for a particular cabinet.

My cons for the lg C9 no affordable 65 inch varients.

  You can get a chromecast for under 100, why spend thousands unless it's failing in some way?

  If you've seen an OLED and think your 2009 LCD is comparable, then you most definitely should ride that one out until it dies.

  Keep your TV, add a VTV for $72 and you're sorted. Cast to TV, with the added benefit or Android TV and a Remote!
