Nintendo Switch Accessories

Hi everyone, like many other people around I've pulled the trigger on an RRP Nintendo Switch (I know I'm ashamed, I've dishonoured my ozbargain family).

I need some accessories:
- case
- screen protector
- pro controller X2
- joy con controller
- battery pack
- memory card

I've looked up on various sites and everything is RRP.

I can't bring myself to RRPing again. I'm in desperate need of help.

These days RRP is a bargain compared to scalpers in marketplace. Don’t feel bad.

Same boat, best I found was Joy Cons for $108 and a Pro for $79 at Catch.com.au.

    • Yup Catch has some good prices or try gamesmen on eBay with current 15% off code and see what you think. MicroSD card can be had on eBay for super cheap too.

Having said that I'm currently waiting (hoping) for next round of promotions before pulling the trigger… Might be waiting a while though 🙁

    • Did you look at US amazon?

Buy all the things you want full price, and your journey towards the RRP-paying-noobs side will be complete! Good! Use your impulse buy feelings, boy. Let the RRP flow through you!

  • I use these at the moment

The horipad is good too for replacement joycons but don't have internal batteries, as far as I'm aware.
The switch pro controller is good, as it has the ability to wake the switch when docked but the L2/R2 are buttons not triggers. Personally I have been using the 8bitdo SN30 Pro+ controller which has been good.

There is some internal memory so you can get away without a microsd for a little while. It now has the ability to transfer from console memory to expandable memory, previously you had to delete it then redownload.

I bought a switch recently too. I bought joycons from big w for $109 and a 128gb U3 Samsung memory card from Officeworks for $33.50. I don't think you'll find a memory card of that speed/quality any cheaper unless you go to the dodgy Chinese eBay stores where fakes are common.

As for the joycons, i needed them so all 4 family members could play, so i pulled the trigger. Big w is cheaper than other places like jb hifi, though. $109 seems like a decent price.

Yeah bigw was the best I could find at the moment too. Was thinking maybe going to JB and seeing if I bought a whole heap of stuff whether they could give me a discount.

    • I got some for 88 bucks but this was before covid.
