Nu-Tec Power Board USB-PD Charging Issue

Hi guys,

Purchased a "Nu-Tec Powerboard" from Bunnings from this deal a few months back. Was working fine until a week or so ago, when the USB-C port stopped charging any devices I plugged into it. Now, if I attempt to charge my phone via this port, the phone automatically defaults to "power supply" mode - if I attempt to change it to "charging", it just reverts straight back to "power supply". The two adjacent USB-A charging ports work just fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? Or is it likely just a faulty unit?

Thanks!

Probably the charging chip has crapped out in the powerboard. For only $10 it's not even worth taking back to Bunnings. Was worth a shot for a PD charger for $10.

    • Damn, was afraid something like this would be the case. Ah well.

      Thanks for the help!

    • If you're heading back to Bunnings anyway, I don't see the harm in taking it for a refund.

      • True, but it's still a surge protected board for $10. So even without the USB charging, it's not a bad deal. Just depends is OP has a use for it or not.

  • got 4 from that deal. all work fine.
