Nu-Tec in-Desk Power Hub w/ USB-C PD 30W & Surge Protected Power Outlets $10 @ Bunnings

4660

Saw this at Bunnings Bankstown Airport (NSW) plenty of stock left.

Update: Confirmed at other locations (VIC, ACT, WA etc). Should be nationwide.

Update 2: $5 at some stores

Update 3: Stock level (not live, can be inaccurate, use as guide only) checker by Delca (Huge thanks) on Google Sheets

Update 4: a more streamlined table by clear and plague69 stock checker

Has 4x surge protected mains outlets, 2x USB chargers (2.4A) and USB-PD 30w port. Can also be used on a desktop laying flat against the table. I think it's a steal for $10! Good hunting!

  • +6

    Woah. USB-PD 30W on a powerboard? Cooooool!

  • +2

These were $20 the other week and I nearly pulled the trigger… Now I def will.

    • +2

      Bang!

  • +2

Better deal than the Belkin powerboards that were recently on sale

  • +5

Hoping for this to be in Brisbane as well.

    • +5

Yes - Mt Gravatt store has 40. They are $10 as well.

      • The big one on Creek road or the smaller one on Logan Road in the homemaker centre?

        • +4

On Creek rd - there now.

          • @INFIDEL: Sold out at Mt Gravatt store, but Capalaba and Manly West still has some (as of jan 4th). Bought two myself today

      • +7

        35 30 left😉
        OzBargain meet in Electrical!
At back of aisle behind Trade Desk. Trade Desk has free basic coffee!!

      • Saw these there for $20 on Sunday.
        Glad I waited😉

  • Very nice for a board with PD

    • New to this but isn't 30w quite weak for charging a notebook?

      • It should be adequate for breaking even or slow charging with basic web browsing on the great majority of consumery notebook computers.

      • 45W and above is very common for laptops so I'd say 30W would be the bare minimum. A lot better than 18W though ;)

    9329474046378 is the barcode.

Call your local store to see if they have any in stock.
Not showing up on their website.

    • +3

      Real mvp ^

    • +4

Not just check if they have stock but to check if it is the same price. Previously from 2 experiences a Bunnings refused to match a clearance price from one store.

    • +3

Rang, gave the barcode - that's a discontinued line, I can't help you.
      Store had plenty.

Others rang & asked for electrical & they put stock aside for them😉

  • +3

These were $20 at Marion in SA last Friday. Only had a couple left then.

    • Thanks saved me a visit tomorrow!

  • +6

Design is unique, only suitable for desk with a cable hole
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NuTec-In-Desk-Power-Hub-4-Under-…

    • +16

Or for someone with a desk and a hole saw and a drill.

    • Did you miss the last photo on the bottom left?

    • States under desk outlets in Deal photo

      • +3

You can also use it on a table without a cable hole, by laying it flat on the table and have it against the side of the table. Won't be flat on the ground, but works and looks good on any table.

  • +3

They have them for that price at Gungahlin, ACT

    • +1

      You the man!

      …or woman?

    • +2

guess I'll go grab one, they never seem to have sold at the full price. Hopefully some left at Gunners tomorrow.

      • +1

They are near the power board section, just a bit further down the aisle. They had plenty so you should be right.

        • None left at least that I could find in the power board section:(

  • Saw them at Cannington (WA) yesterday, selling for $20. Can someone confirm the price drop in WA?

    • Do you know where they were?
I had to quickly grab something else so thought I would have a quick look around but couldnt find them.

      • Around electrical in a big box like the pic

      • Aisle 65. In plumbing on the ground for $10.
It was empty when I came but asked someone if there stock left and there were 30 left and we looked up and there were boxes of it.
        So I took 5.

(Ps: How do I post pics?)

    • +1

$10 Jandakot store had about 20 -35 of them on Friday

  • +2

    • +1

      powerpass is 5% of everything?

      • Usually excludes discounted items

  • +2

Just purchased for $5 at Melville store Perth

    • That's even better! Any left? ;)

      • Was just there. Guy told me I missed them by ten minutes. Someone bought all 28 that were left at $5 each.

        • +27

Someone bought all 28 that were left at $5 each.

AKA the trash of the OzBargain community.

          • +1

@Clear: I am trying really hard to think. Of a good excuse to buy all 28, maybe he has 28 kids and they each have a laptop? Or 28 girlfriends?

            • +3

@Jackson: To resell for profit. Scotty himself recently said how much he's against that ;)

              • +1

@Clear: I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but you done gone and stuffed it all up! :)

Maybe we Scotty would feel better about it if he set up an "Oz Resale" part of the site? He could not take commissions and help poor resellers like that bloke out

        • scummmmmmmbaggggggggg

        • +3

          brodened

    • Any chance you post the receipt

      • Can we get the receipt from the guy that bought all 28 from Melville in Perth?

  • +3

  • +3

Just purchased 4 for $20 total.

    $5 each from Bunnings Campbelltown.

    • +1

      How did you swing that?

    • Could you please post the receipt

      • +5

Hopefully the receipt is uploaded correctly -

        https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/213141/75928/bunnings.…

        • Thanks for posting the receipt, got Wallsend nsw to price match the $5 price after showing them the receipt. They had them in a pile for $20 scanned to $10. They told me they don't normally match other stores clearance pricing but did it anyway :)

    • Did they have many more?

      • Could see atleast 50 in stock at 8:30 pm yesterday.

  • Wouldn't these USB ports be on 100% of the time?

    • +2

thats something. id recommend not buying them. if you see any in perth, tell me where and how much and ill ensure nobody else purchases them

    • also interested to know, surely it wouldnt be to hard to just make the circuit incomplete without the cable attached, or does the adapter inside always stay on

    • +3

      What do you mean exactly?
Because from what I read that question would apply for any other power board or even power socket with built in USB ports.

  • What makes it different to a normal power board?

    • +2

      the power

      • +4

        and the passion

  • +2

Reduced to $5 at Bunnings Blacktown (NSW). Around 20 left.

    • +1

That's going to hurt the person who bought entire stock elsewhere to sell on market stall! (Comment was deleted after all the negs)

      • I actually don't mind if he is selling them at the markets, he is probably making less than most people operating a stall

        • +1

Of course it might not have been a serious comment.

    • Thanks! Will have to rush there ASAP tomorrow and grab some.

      • Is it still available there now?

        • Just called Blacktown Bunnings they are saying sold out.

  • +1

Still about 30 left at Fountain Gate

    • $10?

      • And where were they located?

        • +1

          Yep $10, aisle 35

  • Got 4 for $40 at chatswood. Already installed 2 of them. Made my zimi power charger redundant which costed me $40. Still heaps left
