I haven't tried it on hard ground but it handles clay really well. Just make sure you use 4.0Ah battery.
I have used the planting and digging tool to dig holes for 30 deck posts. It is really good and gets the job done.

X1 has two usb type c/thunderbolt ports. I am using adapters posted in this deal.
