Pretty good deal if you ask me, 7200 RPM Hard drive compared to most laptops with 5400, one of the fastest Laptop CPU's on the market (it was just released), Backlit keyboard is a big plus for me and also 2x USB 3.0 ports. Only real negative is no bluray, but I dont have any blurays anyway.

    • I do believe shipping is included in the price
"Select ONE of the following Payment Methods!
The total cost for your order is $959.40"

  • Wow that's an awesome price in my opinion! Does anyone know how their lcd's compare to the Macbook Pro? I'm sure there is a different but some opinions would be great!

    Thanks

Oh, thanks for reminding me, All the reviews say the chiklet keyboard is very much the same as sony's and macs (will add to description))

  • great price, might get my boss to upgrade my laptop

  • I have one in Lucerne Red and it's a great laptop. LCD is anti-glare so you can use them outside. The MBP's have an IPS display so you can't really compare the two. The MBP has richer colours and better viewing angles. So if you are into graphics design or you really need a good panel in your laptop, go MBP.

They also cost well over 2 grand for similar specs :P

  • This is a pretty good deal. Got this same model (same spec) from the dell outlet (New) a few days ago for $789 delivered. It's a great laptop with 2.1 speakers, pretty fast (launch programs almost instantly). Not as heavy as I thought (compare to my 6yr old Inspirion 6300)

Would bring the price to: $892

  • My Mate bought this very model, and problems from the word "GO", its Dell Online Support thats the letdown…

Well he is part of the minority. Dell has some of the best support in the computer industry as far as big brands go. Whirlpool community members confirm this as do i :)

  • Then I'm in the minority as well. Not saying other big companies are better, just that if Dell has some of the best, it paints a pretty dire landscape (which is probably true!)

Still, doesn't make sense to neg this deal just because of your friend's bad luck.

  • There is a poll on WP to rate dell customer service out of 10, 50% gave it an 8 or higher, 10% gave it a 1. This from a small pool of people but still…
