Call your bank and dispute the credit card transaction

    • Or PayPal if that was used

Can't help with the original question but now I am wondering …
Would they actually be allowed to use them in the first place?
I'm in IT but an analogy would be if we used tools or some software which was uncertified/not-endorsed we'd be in $#!^'s from a legal perspective; if anything were to happen.

    • It depends on which task and which area. So we bought the right product for the right application. It was not intended to be used to perform open heart surgery. For example I can buy a wooden hammer from Bunnings but if I the hammer to build a plane Bunnings would not be responsible for not meeting engineering standards for Boeing planes because that wasn't the intention of their hammer.

"It depends on which task and which area. So we bought the right product for the right application."

I'd wager that the hospital legal department, and their insurer will differ on this, so best be very careful in raising or discussing this.

It's with hospital leadership involved. For example, the leadership did not have enough scrubs to provide to doctors and nurses so they asked the staff to purchase them online. We spent $600 on scrubs that we ordered online from another website and arrived on time.

  • Non-delivery of online orders are the scourge on buying online.
It doesn't matter what the product is.

As mentioned above by abb, dispute the credit card transaction, and just wait for the process to resolve.

I feel for you, Kogan support is just lacking, I’m contacting them about an issue I have and they’re first response was why haven’t you contacted us earlier. When the reason is Australia post hadn’t told them it’s delivered so we can’t initiate a contact, so stupid.

But most delivery problems are delivery companies fault, I’ve been waiting 2 weeks for a beer order that normally takes 2 days, Australia post is just hammered lately. It just shows as dispatched on Kogan, with no further updates from Australia post.

    • I'm only seeing a 'payment processed' for the wipes. And it's been like that for a month. I initially wanted to support Kogan instead of Amazon because Kogan is Australian. But this may be a small price to pay to instead shift my investment towards Amazon.

I'm not aligned with either Amazon or Kogan, but:
        - both have operations here and employ workers here
        - both source product locally and from overseas
        - maybe they have different tax arrangements, but I imagine that both entities would be attempting to at least minimise their taxes
        - The (Australian) founders of Kogan were offloading shares in the company in recent years; I don't know who are the other shareholders
        - Amazon is a publically-traded company; shareholders could be anyone I suppose

I don't see your purchase as being an investment.

        • Thanks for the clarification. Your points make me reconsider my initial stance.

I can’t add much value to many of your points, except one.

amazon is actually one of the worse corporate citizens when it comes to tax, and paying their share to any government.

Now, every company tries hard to avoid tax as you say, but amazon has really lifted the bar in that aspect (as welll as other aspects such as customer service of course)

Kogan is likely to be owned by many super funds in Australia, amazon as well, but more so Kogan because it is listed on the ASX.

      • Kogan is the worst or close to the worst when it comes to customer service.

        • I just received my reply in regards to the matter, in spite of their questioning of my timely ness of my complaint( which was their/auspost fault. I’m happy with their customer service, they offered me $15 for the minor issue I had on a $40 purchase.

Kogan is still mainly Australian owned, don't worry too much about the offloading unlikely due to not seeing kogan as profitable but most likely to invest elsewhere.

As much as they have crappy service, I'd still trust the top individual owners.

  • Your employer should be sorting out PPE. If anything buying PPE outside work is probably causing problems for those who should be a priority.

Put your complaint in writing to kogan. Open a dispute etc.

  • What $ value have you got in this?

    • About $100. It's not much but still annoying.

For 2 masks and a pack of wipes!?! Just do a credit card chargeback, and don't trust Kogan again.

Ever seen Ruslan Kogan and Kim Jong Un in the same room? He's recuperating.

  • Can try https://help.kogan.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=…

The form apparently sends email to sales team/pre-purchase csr help desk as per https://help.kogan.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020086354-Contac…

Could also if cc assistance or keep bothering Kogan is preferred for situation.

    • Thanks!

  • Amazon is worst than Kogan . At least KOGAN gives constructive responses to my help, but definitely not Amazon. Remember the AA batteries sold at $0.99 plus $10.00 shipping fees for one dozen by the seller through some one recommend. in here. The seller later declared the price was wrongly quoted and he gave an excuse there were too many application 7,000 plus and he promised to make a refund to each of us applied. Nothing was done to my case of $10.99 though I was asked to be patientThe date was 17.3.2020.No refund was ever be made. Asking Amazon ’s help but they just me to contact the seller repeatedly who seems disappeared in the air now. Out of frustration, I closed my account with Amazon doing this not before giving them my frustration over the matter.Amazon remain dump and motionless for closing of my account with then. The way Amazon treat their customers is amazing!
