181

Hi guys, not sure if it’s a really good price for the Braun series 7 electric foil Model no 720S-7 . Just came across in my email down from $449 to $199 as per shavershop. Pretty good reviews online. Free shipping over orders $50 . Also give $10 sign up bonus for new customers. Many other Braun series shavers also on sale on their website .

    Same price at Amazon.

All good mate.. if you want to buy from a local seller and support a local business I was saying from that prospective ..

Would support Amazon in this case unfortunately. Some Shavershops have been quite dodgy in my experience. I like there prices but dislike dealing with them.

        • Yap.

Agreed, don't have a very good experience with some Shavershops stores. Really hard to return/swap goods after purchase.

          • @wbloodc:

Really hard to return/swap goods after purchase.

They have to refund or replace if the goods are deemed faulty. Other than that, no they don't have to accept returns or swaps due to hygiene reasons.

Except you linked to a slightly different model (this one is 720S-7 and you linked to 7840s). Difference being this isn't Wet&Dry and the 7840s is.

      • so the Amazon one is better for the same price?

        • Depending on the individuals use but yes, better if you need the Wet&Dry capability.

    • differnent model, amazon one was 179 one week ago, lowest was 149 on last black friday on amazon

  • Please do some good deals on Panasonic shavers.

    • Yes to that. I ended buying a Panasonic shaver from the USA. Not only a better shaver than what was being sold here but, surprise surprise, cheaper too, including shipping. After almost 2 years of using it, still on the original blades.

Not saying 199 is not a good price but pretty sure it was 179 in Amazon last year.

Timing, I just saw a bunch of people buy a clipper for like $90 something when I grabbed it for $60 something last year.

    • I don't think that's a valid reason to downvote

I would never purchase anything from such a dodgy shop even if I know that they are well established. I don't know any other store that tries that hard to hide what actually they are selling. There are dozens of variations of each series. Just put a damn model number somewhere in the description

    • Sorry mate ..just updated the model number in the description.

    • If you follow the link and scroll down, it tells you exactly what model it is. 720-7

they did try to hide it though

It's an okay price. Bought mine for 180 roughly 5 years ago. Expected these to be cheaper tbh as the new model Series 7 came out earlier this year.

So, I bought a marked down hair-straighter from them a week and so ago?
    $60 instead of $200 , okay nice - right?

Got a used product, open box. Took me 3-4 days of arguing with them to have them agree to send out a replacement with a return satchel.

Won - but , at what cost?
Waited a long while for a parcel that came from Sydney to Melbourne to my City back to Melbourne just to be stalled 4 days and then make it to me.

I can't blame them for AusPost being drunk - but overall - won't shop from them again.

    • second this, also got send a used product while the description is brand new, but I purchase through eBay so it was a smoother process

BTW, just noticed Amazon one can be used in Wet but not this one.

  • +1

got the model up recently from Amazon for like $150

no way this worth any more than that! it does a good job, dont get me wrong.

    but it's just marketing BS

no way i'd pay $200 for this - no wet and dry

    but thanks for posting

  • I have been using this shaver for 5yrs. Good shaver. Made in Germany. Mine came with the washer and I made my own solution using 70% alc isopropolene. Be mindful foil cutter replacement cost is like $60 or 1/3 the cost of the shaver.

If I am buying shaver today, I would get the Made in Japan 5 blades Panasonic shaver.

    • The Panasonics cut at a finer angle. IIrc Panasonic cut at a 30 degrees compared to 45 degrees wuth Braun. Which in theory means a closer shave. I have a Panasonic 3 blade ARC bought from the US and it is fantastic. Edit model ES-LT3N -k

  • This was $179 last week for a couple of days at shaver shop.

  • These are a great shaver, so good that I bought a spare. They only make one model of the 'dry' shaver now (most are now wet/dry). The dry shaver can be used with power cord if the battery goes flat over time, whereas the wet/dry can't be used on power cord (only battery) due to safety. Which is why I prefer the dry only - and you can replace the battery yourself if you want to.

This one is without the cleaner, which is not a problem but the cleaner are actually really good.
