    • if you receive 1) an order number and 2) an email.

Ordered two here - no real problems apart from re-logging in early. More storage space - just for those 500gig and Unlimited TPG plans.

Edit : my order was at 13:02:52 !!!

  • wrf sold out already!

  • I got 2 into my cart but somehow when I go through the payment it showed "Your payment is processing…." then came as below, I'm not sure if they process the payment or not.

  • time to get 1.5T from JB

  • Was on at 1 and got Internal Server error, the page has finally come back up and its out of stock. What a fucking rort

    • Yeap, Out of Stock. Lasted just over 20mins…

  • Anyone else got thru kept refreshing but no luck and was sold out!
I tried just before 1PM and could not get through. Maybe it is a marketing ploy with limited stock to generate traffic to site for future and customers that never previously use their site or seriously ozbargaind LOL!
Think about it, is cheap marketing just to discount a small number but generate enough interest to site as with COTD whenever they have a super sale but could never get anything, stop trying now….Good deal nevertheless OP, just a pity can never get one. Hope you have better luck.

    • There is always one that has to be like that

  • I added it into shopping cart early in the morning, checked out at the very first few mins and got one. Hit 500 Internal Server Error several times, had to refresh;-)

Anyway, BigW website is powered by IBM HTTP Server (Apache) and seems to be solid. Not like some other nasty retailers'.

    • It still crashed :P

  • I managed to order one after many refreshes! when I clicked order button the site crashed but I checked the order history on the site and it says processing so they got my order.

  • Managed to bag 2 after numerous refreshes, cheers OP :)

  • +3

When the site kept timing out I went to Officeworks and got it pricematched! $64.60 after price guarantee!

    • Good stuff and you don't have to wait for it to come in the post!

  • Its crap, tried to check out my x1 order but repeatedly timed out. My cart still shows 1 item but with $0 value. Nothing showing under My Orders. Total crap!

Spoke to customer service (very friendly), apparently there are more than 2000 orders. She said BIGW is trying to get more and once they do will be another 1 hour deal. Fingers crossed.

  • +4

I tried to order one at Big W, but once I finally was able to put an order in due to the site crapping it self, was told that it is out of stock. Rang my local Officeworks and asked if they would price match, they sure did and got it 5% cheaper due to their price match deal. Got it for $64.60! And don't have to wait for delivery!

    • Did Officeworks asked/comment about the 1 hour only sale bit? I've just rang and ask them to put one aside for me.

      • Nope, they didn't even question it, the guy just went to the site, saw that it was advertised for $68 and said yep we can price match that!

        • It sucks to be me. I went to the South Yarra store and shown them the print out. They said they don't match these limited time "conditional offer" but they drop their price from $88 down to $83. I bought it but has not open it as I hope a better deal will come up in the next week.

    • nice

  • Can we get a pricematch from OW if someone can post the receipt?

    • +2

I have one I can upload, but doubt it will help you know it is expired. Do you want it? $64.60 after the pricematch and 5% off.

      • Pls upload and I'll give it a try. Cheers

  • Shipped from BigW already - due to arrive sometime Monday. Nice one.

  • I'm not a big fan of Seagate but this was too good to say no to.

I've still got an old FreeAgent that works like a charm, although it makes a lot of noise.

    • I got it this afternoon, already opened the external case, backed up image the Seagate's junks inside (serial number, etc), reformat properly, and working as intended.

      • what is the model of the internal drive?

        • Model: ST2000DM001

    • Received mine in Melbourne, yesterday.

I'm backing up files from a Verbatim drive to the Seagate drive.

Room temperature approximately 20C. Seagate casing 26.3C

  • Got a call from Big W to advise they have run out of stock, might be a week or 2 for new stock to come in.
They offered a WD 1tb portable for the same price instead. I decided to stick with the 2tb desktop HDD, but i was pondering the 1tb portable. but at the moment its more space i need than portability.

But just so you guys know, if you haven't gotten yours you might have options.

  • not bad so far…does get a little hot when transferring for a few minutes…runnin HD Sentinal
