There's no real advantage either way, though it's closest to your analogy in regards to Apple products. The process will still be the same to send the claim onto DJI to handle if you run into any problems (hopefully you don't!).

Noob question but is there any reason to buy a mavic mini from a larger chain (that has local stores)- like JBs as far as returns for warranty or repairs - or is it like buying Apple - doesn't matter where you buy it you deal direct with the manufacturer if you run into any problems ?
