I saw this deal for AVG Internet security one year license on Sharewareonsale. Went through the process and was given the following three license keys -

  • License Key #1: GV2WLG-2A2HP2-4847H6
  • License Key #1: FN357Q-HYYCZ2-4PC836
  • License Key #1: CLXRDA-DUY5F2-5QL7ZW

I tried registering with all three and noticed that the second code gave me access to Internet Security till May 30 2022.

Note:This is intended for new users of AVG only. If you have used AVG before, you may not get any additional time on your license.

  • Window defenders standard Detection eleminator.

Overall the best defence is, do not what you would on your phone, and do not access websites that do not have Https green, and lastly do not open garbage emails.

With that you will not need virus protection.

Your phone can easily purge it fast and wipe temporary memory yes the phone is no different then the pc but only goons end up suffering in both departments if unaware of poor cyber security.

  • My 3 friends are:

    1. Windows Security
    2. VMware Workstation

This thing literately blocked my internet! I wouldn't use it.

  • Thanks OP. Already using the Free version so it's a good upgrade.

I used the third key and got till 1 May 2022.

Only selected Internet Security and Password Protection.

Used Tuneup before and didn't like it.

  • The first license also activated iOS AVG Mobile Security
    App: https://apps.apple.com/au/app/avg-mobile-security/id14739340…

Entered my email in the “security identity check” and the app said my email address was leaked from 8 websites. Great!!!

    AVG: Awkward Virgin Goat!
    AVG: (profanity) Viking Gang!

  • Got 16 years till 2036! but VPN doesn't work as it refuses the license file

  • Tried the sharewareonsale link and got a malware warning from my free Avast security on Mac:

Whew! We’ve just saved you from an infected website

    Infected URL: https://sharewareonsale.com/s/free-avg-internet-security-201…

    Threat: URL:Mal

This URL contains malicious code that could harm your computer.
If you’re willing to risk it, you can turn off your Avast Web Shield to continue.
But we strongly recommend walking away from this one.

Not sure why - anyone know?

I have used free Comodo Internet Suite for as long as I can remember and works fine.

    • comodo solid but hard to find the CIS free on their site these days

  • Hmm.. seems like it’s not free for Mac?

You'd be a fool to install AV software on a Mac. Not having to pay for a service that slows down your computer is one of the benefits of having a Mac in the first place.

    • Although I agree that notion of AV software is unnecessary if you aren't doing silly things, I also think you're a fool if you think you're safe just because you own a Mac

Feel free to Google for more articles, but the hard stand that you cannot get malware on a Mac is simply BS.

        Oh the ASSumptions…
        Feel free to google yourself.
There are no viruses for Mac. The OS has an inbuilt protection.
Yes, you can install malware on a Mac but Anti Virus software does not protect you from installing malware. It can help you remove it but there's no point in running the software continuously for that purpose.
That was the point of my post.
If you still think people should be installing AV software on Macs then just please inform yourself properly before posting.

  • I couldn't activate any of the codes on AVG.com. and now I'm getting a heap of spam emails from sharewareonsale

      This works.
Just download the free copy from AVG and put in 1 of the License Keys.

  • UPDATE: When Google and Mozilla removed AVG’s web extension from their stores, a scandal broke out which revealed that Avast (who also owns AVG) had allegedly been spying on their users’ browsing data and selling it to corporations for millions of dollars in profit. In light of these unethical practices, we can no longer recommend them on our site. You can read more about the controversy and our decision here. For a review of antivirus companies we do recommend, please see this list of the 10 best antiviruses of 2020.

Original Review: AVG is a nice antivirus if you’re using the free version. It offers good protection for no money. AVG gives you excellent security tools for free, and it even has a lot of features to help your computer’s performance. It consistently scores high marks in our tests, and its free version is relatively secure. But the paid version just doesn’t offer enough, unlike many other premium antiviruses like Norton 360 and Bitdefender. If you know that you need premium protection, skip over AVG.

  • I have avg ultimate 11 days left. I used the first code and got extended by like 10 years. so you don't need to be new to avg but i would not recommend unless you have less than a month left on subscription as these could be cancelled.

  • Apparently the AVG you download from AVG website has a virus or is a virus according to AVG, so be careful.

    • That's one ancient version of AVG (last updated 2016!!), I wouldn't trust the heuristics detection. Not safe to have a Windows XP machine connected to the internet anyway.

      • It's a vm windows xp I haven't touched in a few years. I think I've updated the antivirus on two VMS. Now it's updated with a 13 years licence support, imagine xp in 2033.

    • you didnt have to download it from their website. all you have to do is download the trial version of it from avg website and use the serial numbers. but i think its a bit too late now cause they dont work anymore. cheers
