i like the hot sauce, but last time shipping took 24 days to Sydney!

    • Yeah auspost is terrible at the moment. Also there was no min order on the last promo, so may have taken some time to pack all the orders (mine was amazingly well wrapped!)

    • Not sure you can blame these guys, Auspost have been awful this period.

    My new favorite hot sauce…
BUT only if you really like it HOT !
I personally love it super hot, get the hot sauce pack worth every penny!
Bhut Jolokia my favorite… So far 😜

  • Their stuff is crazily hot…

  • I love smokey style hot sauce can anyone comment on what Thier flavours are like an anyone have a favourite..?
    Thanks in advance.

  • I'm still going through their sauces from the last deal. Would have loved a few 500mL bottles of their BBQ sauce, but they are having difficulty sourcing the actual bottles.

  • I'm big on hot sauce so I'm going to throw in my 2c here.

There are two types of really really hot sauce, those with chilli extract (concentrated capsaicin) and those without. Hot sauces without can be added dropwise directly on dry food like pizza. Hot sauces with extract should be mixed into some other food such as into a sauce or like into mayonnaise on a sandwich.

Melbourne hot sauce bhut jolokia (ghost pepper) is their hottest sauce(edit; sorry the spicy sanchez is). None of MHS sauces use extract. This is a great sauce and the best Australian hot sauce in my opinion. My only criticism would be that the heat variable year to year with their sauces (which is reasonable with natural products like chilli). Buy their sauce, try some of their other limited addition sauces too if you want, most of the ones I have tried are excellent. Their BBQ sauce is great too, best for ribs.

If you are looking for some other really hot sauces to try I think the best of the international (read American) sauces are Dave's Gourmet. Their ghost pepper, scorpion pepper and the garlicy ones are amazing. Pretty sure they are all non-extract too.

The best extract sauces are from the Blairs range. I'm not huge on these but usually keep a bottle to add a drop or two into liquidy food (soup, chilli, bolognaise) to up the heat.

  • Their Chipotle BBQ is very good I am definitely gonna order it again. The Reaper Whisky BBQ tastes good but it is too hot for us eventho my wife loves spicy food she couldn't handle it :D. Thanks op.

I thought they used to stock a larger size bottle of the Chipotle BBQ on their website but can't find it any longer? Was much better value!

Also FYI if you are near a Leo's Supermarket in Melbourne they stock most of the range at slightly better prices too:

    • Tomatillo & Jalapeno, Chipotle BBQ, Chipotle & Cayenne, Smoked Jalapeno, Hop Smoked Jalapeno, Habanero & Mango, Habanero Roja - 150mL $7.15ea
    • Bhut Jolokia - 150mL $10.75ea

Thank you, I wasn't aware of this! Just went to Leo's to pick some up.

  • Hey OP, what's the best sauce to go with a Grilled Cheese?
