  • Haha not the best.

    No better salt water gargle

    • I would just get the cheapest lozenges

  • Ego QV Gentle Wash

any opinions vs Dermaveen Extra Gentle Wash?

    • In my experience it depends on your skin type.

      FYI I have eczema.

Using Dermaveen brand creams/lotions/anything makes me itchy so I tend to avoid that brand altogether.

QV and Cerave are fine though and what I usually buy/prefer.

    • qv has more glycerin, dermaveen also contains colloidal oatmeal and sodium pca

dermaveen is paraben-free, qv isn't, in case that's of concern

40% off DermaVeen Skincare e.g. Extra Gentle: Moisturing Lotion, Soap Free Wash, or Shower & Bath Oil 1L $12.59 @ Priceline

    • +1

For sensitive skin with particular allergies, I was recommended by dermatologist to use QV. Dermaveen contains Cocamidopropyl Betaine, a foaming agent. It's not "bad" but is bad if you are allergic to it

      • Thank you, your comment was really informative.

Now I know why Dermaveen makes me itch/skin redden.

        • No worries. I have ezcema too. QV, Cerave and La Roche are brands my dermatologist recommends.

If you can, get a referral to do skin patch testing - 12 month waiting list at public hospital, fully covered by Medicare (otherwise $500). It will tell you what your skin sensitivities are.
