  Does it matter if the pads are left or right handed? only matter for hand related equipment?

    there is extra padding that differentiates LHS and RHS. Near the shin/calf area. Can still use but slight difference.

    It matters a lot. Being a lefty, I didnt know the difference initially in small juniors. But in those level, pads barely get hit hard enough for you to notice. As I progressed to higher age groups and disregarded the sizes, in u16s where bowlers were fast enough that the pads feel it, I learnt that that extra cushioning is very important.

    Its kinda on the right side of the front leg (right leg) pad.

    Its also easier to tuck it down fine leg if the leg is protected.

    It'd be on the left side of the left leg pad for a right hander.

    Some pads have a flap that creeps a bit extra around the side of the leg that faces the ball. You are standing side on so likely to get hit there but not on the other side facing the opposite direction and having a flap there would make your legs rub together too much.
