Pressure Cooker (without Non Stick)

Have a Sunbeam Aviva pressure cooker. The non stick surface has started flaking into my food (have been using it for few years).

Not good.

Any good deals on an alternative with a stainless steel bowl?

I just bought a Philips HD2237/72 today, and the stainless steel bowl attachment from Amazon

The Instapot's on Amazon are worth a look, I've had one for a few years now.

    • Agree on the Instantpot. The stainless steel also means the food smells are less trapped.

I got the glass lid, as well, which is good for doing the Yogurt and slow cooking.

  • The Heller HPC1000 has a stainless bowl. I replaced by sunbeam with one. It does the job. I paid $80 on one of the ebay specials.

  • We have a Breville Fast Slow Pro BPR700, and we would recommend it.

    • That is, also, a non stick surface from memory. We had one of those and I moved to the Instant Pot for the Stainless Steel bowl. I had trouble getting the smell out of the Breville and the lid was an issue with not sealing properly and the way it is always connected. However, apart from that they are a good option. The controls are better than the Instant Pot.

  • I've had the instant pot for at least 4 years now when it wasn't even available for purchase in Australia and got it shipped from the UK (not US due to voltage). I used it every day and it's still standing strong. The stainless steel inner pot is good in the way that it's almost indestructible and you wouldn't need to worry about the smell lingering and scratching.

  • Thanks for the comments.

Looks like the instant pot duo 8l is at
    kitchenwarehouse for $269.

Instant pot duo Nova is $255 at prodstopAU whatever that is. Anyone heard of this place?

These seem to be the front runners unless I learn more.
