"write speed lower" .. by what factor?

    • +2

I only have the 32GB version of this microSD card. Below is the test results (in MB):

      Read Write
      Sequential 84.95 23.36
      4K (Q1T1) 1.923 3.359
      4K (Q8T8) 1.838 3.341
      4K (Q32T1) 2.942 3.548

I would expect the 128GB version to have better results. Typical Sandisk Ultra results, nothing special and cannot compare to Sandisk Extreme. Tested on an intel CPU based PC using USB port running on intel chipset.

Good price, but "AZ eShop" doesn't seem to be an authorized Aussie reseller according to sandisks website.

I usually opt to pay the extra $5~$10 for a memory card, because they're just SO easy to fake…..

    • Thanks, this makes me feel better as I bought one from Amazon for $25.

nevermind….just checked, this store should be ok, it is "by SanDisk"

      • +2

this store should be ok, it is "by SanDisk"

That By Sandisk bit isn't what you should be looking at, you should be looking at the seller

"Sold by AZ eShop and Fulfilled by Amazon."

        • just double-checked, mine one is red and grey in colour " Ultra 100", this one is "Ultra 80.
Mine one is from "Sold by KM TECH and Fulfilled by Amazon."

It arrived in one day. The seller also provided a SD card adapter.

          • @wangsk: My red one has a SD card adapter included inside the package. Not separate.
Anyway, best to do a test to be sure.

For Amazon, I normally prefer either sold by Sandisk or Amazon.

      What about now?

I own a retail store and I can buy SanDisk wholesale and sell them, just like pretty much any Aussie business with an account at these distributors. That list will just be their biggest accounts that they want to promote.

      • Any retailer that provides proof to WD\Sandisk that their supplier is their approved wholesaler, will be added to their 'retail' list.
I'd advise you contact them to get your name added.

been this price for a month or so already, I snagged one when it was $20.97. Fulfilled by Amazon so I wasn't worried about the risk.

Using my Galaxy S7 with "SD Card Test", size is verified at 127.83GB, Write 49 MB/s, Read 68 MB/s.

Stupid question….. Is this ideal for Nintendo Switch?

    • +1

i'm not sure about all the actual science behind it, but i have at least 4 of this used on various devices, mobile phone, dashcam and also a switch. I've never had any problems with them. I would recommend them, mine were also from amazon.

      I bought the Ultra 100 128GB $25.95 for Switch.

    • +1

thanks, came to ask the same question so happy to see its already answered.

  • The top comments say these aren't genuine cards

    But 4.7/5 rating

and its not an authorised reseller?

    • +3

The problem with Amazon is that it aggregates all reviews for the same item from every seller. So you'll get people saying they're fake but you don't know what seller they bought it from.

Your best bet is to buy from 'Shipped and Sold by Amazon AU', or from a seller that is an authorised reseller as MasterScythe pointed out. They might be a different price though

      • +1

I noticed some of the top reviews had pictures of fake as looking cards, also various sizes 200 and 400 popped up, as well as 2018 reviews.
So I was worried at first and made the excuse I need 2 so got this and another one at $26.
Hopefully one gets the job done 😂

FOR ANYONE WHO IS WILLING TO PAY 2c MORE.

Scroll down the page a little, and on the right hand side, you'll see:

    $25.97
& Free Delivery on eligible orders See details and conditions
    Sold by: Amazon AU

Amazon AU, is an authorized reseller.

    • How is 25.97 2c more than 21.98?

      • Im comparing like for like, the 100 series cards from both sellers.

Original post here is for the 80 series.

  • What is the difference between this white and grey sand disk ultra and the red and grey sand disk ultra?

    • The speed.

    • +1

The speed is the short answer.

White / Grey - up to 80MB/s read
Red / Grey - up to 100MB/s read

Red / Grey has a higher chance to include a SD card adapter. White / Grey may just has the microSD card itself.

      • I think given the numerous deals we’ve had over the last 6 months people should have an abundance of adapters lying around.

  • Write speed is 20-30MB/s, which is not particularly fast, but should be enough for Switch, etc.

  • I bought 2 3 days ago and still hasn't shipped.

Have I been taken for a ride?

  • +1

received mine this afternoon (Sydney metro)
    Using it for the Switch
