75 Inch TV (~ $3,000 Budget)

Hi OzBargain,
Does anyone have suggestions for a 75inch TV, it will be mounted to the living room wall, the room is quite well lit during the day.
Most watched content will be sports-related, movies/shows, gaming (in that order).

Was looking at the Samsung 75 QLED 75R (2019 model), however, there isn't much stock around (missed out on the David Jones $2.8k clearance sale recently). The new Q80T 2020 Model is a bit of a stretch on the budget. Also looked at the C9 OLED, but there's no stock, and also wasn't sure whether the tradeoff in size is worth the picture quality. The C9 77inch would be great, but no stock.

Ideally would like to purchase now, however, are there typically good deals during EOFY sales? When does that start?

Would appreciate any suggestion or guidance.

    Out of curiousity, how far is your couch from the tv?

    Kogan's android 75 is on special at $1289 now, just to make spending >$2k even harder, OLED or otherwise.

      Except all the reports are that kogan TVs are horrible. If you had $3k to spend and bought yourself a kogan TV you deserve an uppercut.

          I agree too.

          But so are many others. Sony have done a few poor ones, and fail in may key aspects. Samsung, etc. too. The big ones aren't any better IMHO.

          Anyhow, what's with all the negs?? It was only a statement of fact, not a suggestion on which to prefer. Snobbery or SARS-induced vitriol? :-(

            @resisting the urge: Just disagreeing with you, that's all. Spending $1289 on a Kogan TV is not money well spent, going on all reports.

    Anyone know if the TCL QLED or MiniLED in 75inch will be released in Australia soon? They currently only have the 65inch available in AUS

    I picked up a Hisense 75Q8 last night at JB Hifi in Maribyrnong, VIC for $2944. I was looking at purchasing from The Good Guys around the corner as they are doing a $300 EFTPOS card promotion but they wouldn't budge on the $3495 list price because of the $300 you get back. I was going to wait and see whether they dropped the price for EOFY sales but the floor person said they likely wouldn't drop a huge amount given the model is new.

    Decided to check JB and there list price was also $3495. Asked the sales rep if he could put a 2 in front of the price and he came back post checking and said $2999 including free delivery. Went to the checkout to pay and she rang in $2944 so smiled quietly and said thanks.

    TV is coming Monday.
