It’s only $20 off Sony …the click frenzy price is not the grate
    eBay Sony 20% is better
Or can get at least a bigger discount instore buy asking
If it’s a big ticket item

    • +1

      the grate

      Yum Yum

      • Wanted to downvote this but I couldn't

    • No, it just rubs off, not grate.

  • Combine with AMEX $100 off $600 spend
    Combine with Cashrewards….

    This might get interesting.

    • +1

Not so interesting unless they discount their rrp heavily, rrp on sony website is ridiculous high

      • spend time to price match

      • Was thinking about upgrade from A6300 to A6400 body
but the RRP in Sony is way more expensive even after the $100 off from AMEX

      • True, but in the past they have. Early this year, the 65" X95G was $1973. They don't have stock on it anymore though.
But time will tell. I agree that their RRP's are stupid.

      • If you go to Sony store, you can use multiple cards on the payment, for example $1200 you can separate it into 2X$600 which each AMEX can give you $100.

        • You mean physical store not online store right?

        • If you go to Sony store, you can use multiple cards on the payment, for example $1200 you can separate it into 2X$600 which each AMEX can give you $100.

They don't allow split payment with AMex for a few months now

          • @snvl: That's correct. No more split payments at Sony store. I tried last yr but they wont budge.

i think sony already jack up the store price for this promotion, A7R III price with sony online is around $5k, you can easily find this in other Au stores for $3.8k, this is just one example.

    • +1

i think sony already jack up the store price for this promotion

Are you sure they sold it for non-RRP prices before?

      • they jack up the price no doubt, i was checking RX0ii kit on their website with no discount for $980, and now it's $1149, and this kit can be bought at other store for $800

        • +1

Are you sure they jacked up the price by $169 just for this $20 promotion? Or did some other price promotion end?

It was already $1149 on the 11th of May.

          • +2

@eug: i don't see any promotion indicated for that item, and it has been that price for around half a year(because i tried to buy this with the last amex offer $600/150off, but didn't).

and honestly i don't care whether they jack it up for this click frenzy promotion or this $20 promotion, i am just telling people that they probably can get a better bargain elsewhere.

            • +1

That's a given, manufacturers usually sell at RRP unless they're having a promotion going on. Otherwise they'll piss off their own biggest customers (JB, Harvey, VideoPro etc) as they'd be competing with them.

It's too easy to throw "price jack" accusations around without sufficient data. Are they actually price jacking, or did you just so happen to check prices in the past when they had a promo on? Keep in mind their prices are generally as high as they can be (RRP) all year round.

        • Clear price change before next week promo. So they will state save some huge amount

    • Sony store usually has everything had a higher price than most other stores for everything unless it's a clearance item or on "sale" but even then it's usually not.

  • When does "click frenzy" officially start?

  • Oh nice. This should bring down the srs xb12b down to $49 shipped. Great mini speaker for that price

    https://store.sony.com.au/wireless-speaker-portable/SRSXB12B…

    • sorry how come its 79 with code it will be 60

  • I wonder if this will be a unique code, or if they’re just collecting names and emails and their code will be displayed on their web site anyway?!

    • +1

If it was like the last deal with $20 promo codes, it should be unique. All mine were unique.

  • +2

    Full RRP + Shipping - $20. Bargain!

  • I cant seem to find Sony on the official Click Frenzy website page or am I just blind?

Hopefully TA comes out with some special deals on the Sony products, fingers crossed!

  • Have anyone received the promo code?

    • -1

      Nope.
      Smells of scam :(

      • +1

Coupon code will be issued before the commencement of Sony Frenzy

It should get here around 12PM hopefully as that's when the frenzy starts

    • Nah tried with 2 emails too.

      • No code has been received so far

        • Neither. Not seeing reduced pricing yet either.

    • Still No Code, wtf Sony?

      • Click Frenzy hasn't started yet, it starts at 7pm so there's still time. They said "before the commencement" so it could be anytime up to 6.59pm I guess.

        • The Sony website says their click frenzy pricing "activates" 12pm today. I assumed they meant AEST.
But just RRP's at the moment.

          • +1

@Make it so: Somebody has definitely dropped the ball over at Sony… 17 minutes in, still RRP's.

          • @Make it so: True, looks like they were just slack!

  • Code arrived in email. Site still has RRP though

    • Yup, got the code.

  • I assume the frenzy is not for all items ?

    • Not all items, and they still haven't activated the pricing.

      • ok thanks

  • Anyone have a spare code they wont use? Please Msg me :D Want to buy a new TV Thanks

  • don't get the code don't know why, I signed up two emails.

  • Has anyone that registered not received their code yet? I am still waiting.

    • Did you check your junk mail folder? That's where I found mine an hour ago.

      • Just had a look and it wasn't in ther sadly. Hopefully it comes some time soon.

        • +1

Still no code for me :(

  • I think the pricing you are seeing are their "FRENZY" pricing already, lmao

    • Can't be - most haven't changed.

      • there are some changes to the pricing of a few items, mostly headsets and walkman, but basically just move them from RRP to the real pricing you can buy from Amazon etc.., nothing to see here unless they did a major update later.

        example

        https://store.sony.com.au/headphones/MDRZX310APR.html#utm_so…

        this was $79, now $54

amazon selling the same model around $51

well, you got the $20 vouncher, that's probably the only good thing.

  • +1

Still haven't received the coupon email. I received an email about pre ordering the new soundbar though, weird.

  • also i noticed all the portable speakers have gone up by $10 and $20 today? XB12 was only $69 yesterday and now it's $79

  • was looking at these for wearing on my bike trainer at home https://store.sony.com.au/headphones-inear/WISP500B.html $20 voucher would make a big difference, I remember signing up but never received an email from them, been searching the spam filters nothing there either

    • +2

You can have my voucher if you'd like? I'm not going to use it, send me a PM if you want :)

  • Anyone not using their voucher? Kindly send it to me please. Much appreciated. Thanks

  • I just received my code this morning at 7am.
