Six of the Best - Mature Marvels with FREE Freight

Contained in this mixed 6 pack are the following wines at an average of less than $15 a bottle. Usually you need to grab a dozen to get free shipping, but we added free shipping to this 6 pack. Good way to try some lovely aged wines.

$249rrp only $89 w/free freight

1 x Chateau Yaldara Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 (RRP $60.00)
1 x The Lane 'Block 1' Cabernet Merlot 2011 (RRP $39.00)
1 x The Lane 'Gathering' Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2010 (RRP $40.00)
1 x Murray Street Red Label Shiraz 2015 (RRP $35.00)
1 x The Lane 'Block 14' Single Vineyard Basket Press Shiraz 2011 (RRP $40.00)
1 x Chain of Ponds Reserve Shiraz Cabernet 2014 (RRP $35.00)

If i were to pick a standout, it would be either the Murray Street Vineyards Red Label Shiraz or the Chateau Yaldara Cabernet Sauvignon. There is something about a smooth Barossa red, especially while it is cold!

  • I prefer DC over Marvel !

    • Hmmm I've actually had this debate with a few people. The outcome came to Marvel heroes are better, but DC villains are better

      • Superman Batman and Wonder woman are the most iconic superheroes out there ! Most people hadnt even heard of Marvel until the movies came out.

        • Being more recognizable doesn't always mean better though.

Yeah you're right i had never heard of Spiderman or xmen or thor or ironman or the hulk before the movies said no child raised properly ever

  • Not sure I see a lot of value in this. I really don't rate the Chateau Yaldara, it's definitely not worth anywhere near the $60.00 RRP, it's just not a great wine. I really like some of the stuff from The Lane, but i'd surprised if that Sauv Blanc Semillion isn't well past it's best drinking age.

<$15 a bottle isn't awful but there's been much better WineDirect deals.

Interesting take on the Yaldara. I quite like it. I had the same apprehension on the SBS, but was pleasantly surprised how well it was drinking. Definitely worth a go. If you were interested in taking a punt but wanted the Yaldara changed for something else, pm me and I'd be happy to discuss.

Thanks for the offer, but i'm well stocked at the moment. I've used you guys in the past and would happily use again. Just offering my views on this deal :)

No worries! As long as you're happy, that makes me happy! We have some amazing new wines coming in stock for June, I'll be sure to post some of them up. There is a cracker of a 2013 Victorian Shiraz that will be available for $150 per dozen that is going to be very popular! It will be a secret, but you can always email me to get the identity before purchasing.

    And 2011 reds? Forget it.

    • Not all 2011 wines were terrible. Very good wines were made if they were picked at the right time. The misconception is that all 2011 wines were awful, but that is not the case.

  • I’d be keen on this if it didn’t have a bottle of white that I won’t drink in there.

    • email me, I'd be happy to swap another red in there for you [email protected]

Hay, just figured I would leave a message to say that we got the 'Mature Marvels' 6 pack delivered, sampled a few of them and we're pretty chuffed.
Even just logged on to their site again to see if we could order another box but alas the site give a 404 error now.
Pretty understandable, that it wouldn't be available any more but yeah for anyone that stumbles across this page going forward winedirect packs look to be worth the money thats for sure.

    • Hey, unfortunately we ran out of stock of some of those wines, but if you want to flick me an email to [email protected] and let me know what wines you were most fond of, I can see if there is something i can do in a similar vain. I'm glad you enjoyed it though!
