It varies - looks like $8.50 for a schnitzel, $12.50 for some of the rolls. Might be location specific, so best to find something that tickles your tastebuds on their website :)

I feel bad that someone actually answered jv genuinely

    • +10

Why does jv get negged so much?

      • It's an ozbargain tradition.

  • +22

Having worked at schnitz for a numbers of years. I would highly recommend the American dream wrap + spicy crumbed chicken.

If you order any meat that isn't the normal chicken schnitzel they cook per order.

    • +2

Yes. American Dream, Garden of Eden, Spice of Life are my favourites.

    • +2

I always order pork which used to be almost double the size of the chicken ones. But they cut it smaller now.. :(

  • Are they starting their own delivery service or is this in conjuction with UBEReats ?

    • Doordash

    • They're using Mobi2Go.

  • Do they jack?

    • +5

Do they jack…off? Probably, just hoping its not in-store.

      • +1

…up the price. Aren't we in ozbargain?

  • +2

Should note it's only for the regular size chips

  • +1

Do I get two portions of chips for ordering 2 parmas or one per order only?

    • +9

Make it 2 separate orders? That's the Ozbargain way.

  • +2

trying to pre-order and its spitting out a "delivery address outside delivery area", even if i put in the store location's address as the delivery address!

    • +2

looks like i had to wait for the store to open before it worked

  • You can't use menulog for this can you? I jsut ask cos with commrewards i have a voucher for menulog haha

    • No. Direct website booking

  • Never been… roll or wrap? Parmey yay or nay? Kettle cooked… gravy?

    • +4

      Wrap!

Parmas are okay but they don't have ham which was always the biggest complaint. (I agree it's not a Parma without). If you are going down this route I would suggest parmageddon

The gravy is actually really good and I wish I was still working there when they released it.

  • +2

The Broadway store has removed the regular size chips option so you can't get free chips..

    • the one at Bondi worked for me

  • What happened to the beef schnitzel wraps :( :(

    • +1

Looks like the beef and port schnitzels are sold out everywhere. Supplier shortage maybe?

  • No stores in Brisbane…really?

    • Isn't there one around Windsor/Lutwyche?

      • North Lakes

        • I meant Newmarket one. Which is now closed. So yes closest to Brisbane city is the North Lakes one

    • +1

There’s one 200 metres down the road from me (Newmarket) but I haven’t tried ordering yet

      • Not showing on their store locator. I typed in Newmarket.

        • well, that sucks. Store has been there more than a year so its not like its new.. pretty slack website i guess, means i wont be ordering.

edit: store has been there 3 years apparently but i guess thats not new enough to be on the website lol

          • +1

@Iggemo: 3 years! You'd like to be able to pity the poor franchisee but it's partly his/hers/their own fault. Why hasn't he/she/they discovered the omission? Especially in the last couple of months when it's been takeaway only. Schnitz don't give a schitz.

EDIT: Shows up on their Facebook page, so that's something, I guess. There's also a restaurant at Garden City, which is 5 minutes from me, lol. I think I remember seeing it, but I'm rarely passing by, or stopping at, the food court.

    • +1

      There's one in Newmarket

      • guess they haven't updated their website. Cant order :(

      • +1

They closed this a few months back

  • +1

    Not valid in WA.
There's only 1 store here and pickup is the only option, promo code is for delivery orders only.

  • Strange. Tried to do a mock order for a chicken parma and after the options screen comes up it wont let me select standard parma (only vegan parma). Might try later when the store opens.

  • Ooof tried delivery; out of range, tried pickup; code only works with delivery…

  • +1

    Can't add chips

  • +5

Here the link to schnitz.com.au online ordering for convenience.

  • +1

Just got my order - looks like once the order comes in, they go to whatever delivery service each store is partnered with (in my case it was DoorDash). Everything was fine except they ran out of gravy (they called me asking if I'd like to substitute for sauces) and they forgot cutlery.

  • Anyone else having issues adding chips for free? put in the coupon code, it then says to select the size then it tries to charge me.

    • +1

add regular with no sauces, I had issues as well. Eventually it worked.

      • Thanks but it's a problem with Broadway not having original size there.

    • Selecting Regular Chips with no sauces worked for me, it shows a $5.00 charge, then the Discount -$5.00 shows 1-2 seconds after adding.

  • Note: Wollongong Schnitz doesn't do delivery through the website so it isn't eligible for the deal.

  • No delivery on any QLD store?

  • +1

Tried a couple of browsers, but same result. There is no option to select "Original" chips. Only shows Small, Large and Family sizes as options and it wants to charge me if I select one of those

    • Which store?

      • Broadway

        • +1

I had this same problem with Broadway, so ordered from the city instead

  • No luck with Hawthorn. Got redirected to Uber Eats and the coupon code didn't work.

  • +1

Made two separate orders and they will be delivered by two different DoorDash drivers from Top Ryde!

  • Just ordered an American Dream wrap from Bondi Junction + free chips!

So the way it works is that you have to first add your wrap/roll and then enter the coupon code.
It will then prompt you to add free chips.
Select the "Regular" sized ones and the discount should apply automatically.

    • +1

Just tested and confirmed it is store specific. Broadway has no "Regular" option but if switch to Bondi Junction (outside of my delivery radius unfortunately), then I see it on screen.

Oh well let's hope there's a food coupon by the time dinner comes around.

  • +1

Ordered with MLC store. The schnitzel is very disappointing. Too thin and dry, not very tasty ether (I order the spicy one). On the other hand, that chips is the best chips I hard since I left UK. UK Burger King has coated fries which is so tasty and these ones from Schnitz are the same type but chunkier.

    • You may have had a bad batch. All schnitzels are 200g, tenderised with a mallet, egg washed and then crumbed all in the store.

Sometimes if its a slow day they stay a bit longer over the heat lamp which dries it out. But Spicy crumbs should be made fresh per order.

    • Do you only eat McDonald's and KFC usually? :P

    • Guys I am comparing to the Japanese and Taiwanese way of making schnitzel. May be Schnitz just not for me, but really the fries are great!!

  • 'Meal' just means a wrap/roll/burger, not the fast food style 'meal' where it must include chips/drink. Their menu has the option to 'make it a meal' by adding chips/drink which is not necessary to use this promotion. They're probably hoping people will misinterpret the terms and add $7 of extra stuff to the order.

If anyone is ordering the vegan menu item, FYI - their gluten free wraps/rolls contain hen's menstrual discharge, therefore not vegan.

    • +5

      most commonly known as egg.

      • Yes commonly known as eggs, because "eating hen's menstruation" or "drinking cow's lactation" doesn't sound too appealing, at least to majority of humans.

    • @nagev5
      Was the username nagev taken?
      Lol

      • Lol no. I prefer it this way, with 5 being my fav digit ☺

    • i feel like you've gone for shock factor here, rather wanting to inform and educate a large number of people that they have egg in their wraps. nothing wrong with that, but it doesnt help to create open dialogue about food choices and imo increases the tension and divide between vegan/veg/meat eaters/pesc or any other food choices which in turn makes it less likely people will consider changes and a more open mind with their food choices. but that's my opinion.

      • -1

Lol their username is just "vegan" backwards. As vegan choices become more mainstream that tension and division lets them retain their hardcore identity

        • So hardcore, how dare vegans try to minimise the harm to animals and reduce suffering in this f*ed world! So extreme and hardcore. Almost makes raping a cow and cutting baby lambs look very normal.

          • @nagev5: When I said "them" I meant you, not knowing your gender. You are the one I was referring to as being hardcore, not vegans. Since it is a lifestyle you clearly identify with I'm not sure why you wouldn't just take that as a compliment

            • @ChadHominem: Clearly not a compliment given you've used the word "hardcore". You should see what the animals go through for you to ingest their dead bodies and secretions, now that's hardcore. Watchdominion.com all Australian hardcore animal farming practices

  • It's telling me code is not valid in Deliveroo (link from their website)

  • Both UBEReats & Deliveroo the same thing 'promotion code is not valid'
Well that sucks I was looking forward to my schnitzel wrap & chips tonight.
If anyone has a trick or advice on how I might get it to apply I'd appreciate it! Thanks All

    • +1

You have to apply the code directly to their website.

      • Thanks I figured it out! You order directly in website and its fullfilled by doordash! Nice chips :)

  • +1

Rip, none of the stores delivers to where I live :/

  • Am i doing it right? I need to spend $20+ as thats how much a meal costs to get a $4 chips for free?

Never mind, looks like the only store that can deliver to me even though there are closer stores is broadway and they have conveniently removed the regualar chips. Sounds like bait and switch to me. Hopefully it works for others.

  • mine accepts the code and discounts $5 for the chips, but won't waive the delivery fee … anyone else?

  • -3

I can confirm Broadway does not have regular sized chips. Nothing against the op but the neg is for the restaurant.

    • +1

I'll send them a message, but it might not be a participating store as per the terms and conditions. Don't know why they would!

  • is it me or does the website not have prices

  • Very disappointed that this seems not to be available for the only restaurant in WA.

  • -2

Ordering process is a bit much. Had to confirm a code with banking app just for a $13 burger? Taste isn’t great… Schnitzel, bread roll and chips all soggy. Best thing was the flavour on the chips.

    • +1

      Which banking app?

This is likely a safeguard put in place by your financial institution i.e. Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode.

  • Free delivery doesn't work for me in Ballarat, VIC

  • Only QLD store that does delivery seems to be Gladstone

  • Is it real chicken or fake chicken?

  • +1

Thanks OP, sounds like an awesome deal on paper; Schnitz has some good burgers and just far enough away that i don't want to get it myself so i was really keen to give it a try.

1st order (lunch time), took a long time (~60 minutes) and got delivered somewhere else, driver couldn't tell me where he dropped it off but someone got a free meal, i got a refund and cooked some pasta
2nd order (dinner time), took 80 minutes to get delivered from 10 minutes away; seems like the food was cooked as order was received and then just sat around waiting for door dash to pick it up - stone cold, soggy bun :(

in summary delivery process needs to mature in the mean time if you want a good burgers go get it yourself and pay the chips.

I think all the issues really came from their delivery partner letting them down and the promo probably didn't help in that regard either

    YMMV

    • Oh mate, that absolutely sucks! I've so sorry!!!

  • Promotion ends Sunday and a lot of stores are closed for the weekend lol

  • I live in the same postcode of the restaurant, and delivery will not come to me despite ordering UberEats all the time from the same area. Not exactly impressed.

  • +1

Thanks Cash A, see you in the office

  • +1

"Sorry, it appears there was a payment error, please try again." Anyone else getting that?

    • +1

Just in case it helps anyone, logging out then back in seemed to fix it.
