Why Has Woolworths Rewards Had No Big Bonus Offers Lately?

Currently all I see is 5x points on shop. I was hoping to see more like the Bonus 6000 Rewards Points with $40 spend at BWS. This was a sweet deal and I had just gotten 2000 points the week before on another $50 buy.

Are sales that good atm that they don't need to offer incentives?

  • I don't agree.

I combine the 5x with the online deals and gift card and get around 17% benefit

    • I had another look at the 5x offer and realised it's not as attractive as it first seemed.

Qualifying spend excludes sauces, condiments, freezer, dried, canned, seafood, pet and deli products.

Another targetted big one last week was: Spend $60 online and get 4,500 points each week, for two weeks.

The numbers vary (some people have higher spend targets and lower points), but at the best offer, getting 9,000 WR points for 2x $60 spend is a fantastic deal.

    • I think they increase the target when we hit them, as these targets are targeted at ppl

    • I didn't get that email. Was it for shop or BWS?

      • If you're after BWS specifically I would imagine the lack of is to avoid negative press in the current environment

        • Not after BWS exclusively, I gave up drinking but do get NA beer. The bonuses just seemed to be flowing with BWS shops.

I stopped getting them since rona. now I only get the weekly specials email

    • Even better when that $60 spend had $35 in out of stock items and the 4500 points cost only $25.

My own experience lately is that the Woolies are not that busy at all. Every time I've gone in I've been surprised. It seems like the panic has disappeared and people might be doing with what they previously hoarded, or maybe people have even simplified their shop with the upcoming uncertainties. Lots of specials on the floor but no empty shelves.

    • Agree, I went a few days ago, after quite a long time. Was rather quiet. I also noticed fewer people wearing masks, unlike a month ago.

I asked the friendly cust personnel at self-service checkout if things had gone back to normal. Yes and no was the answer - yes from the stocks on shelf point of view, but no, from their point of view. E.g., she found trying to help customers at the self-service kiosks, yet maintaining social distancing, can be quite challenging.

What about the 3000 points for downloading the Rewards app ?

    • Came in here just to say this.
Would have given away a heap of points for free.

    • Is this current? The only deals I saw on here seemed to be staff. I've been waiting for an email from rewards.

      • I got the email 2 weeks ago on the 14th. Points credited same day as downloading the app.

  • In the last 2 weeks, I received the rather generous 2000pts/$30 spend (Week1) and 4000pts/$50 spend (Week2) offer for Woolworths. It could be down to the fact that I have hardly shopped at Woolworths for a while.

  • You need to have more than one Rewards card to get good deals. Keep using one card until you start to get good deals on the second card, then keep using the second card, and you will get good deals on the first card after awhile. They have no incentive to send you good deals if your Rewards card activity indicates that you regularly shop at Woolies.

    • I don't ever use my rewards card. I use the daughter's staff discount one so mine should be getting all the targeted offers I assumed.

      • It works for me, I only got the 3,000 points deal on one of my Rewards card, it probably wasn't a random selection. I have the 4,500 points for $60 online spend on both of my cards, so that's 12,000 points in two weeks if I use only one card.

I was also getting different incentives on my two cards every other week a couple of months ago when Woolies was giving away points for certain amount of spend in one shop.

Perhaps get another Rewards card, it takes a bit of experimenting. I also noticed that Woolworths Rewards emails sometimes go to the Promotion tab in Gmail if you haven't been checking all the tabs.

    Why do you ask?

Surely this is up to Woolworths

No explanation needed and even if you had one it wouldn't change anything.

    Pointless discussion going NOWHERE FAST!

I'm amazed you think the light discussion is so pointless yet you take the time to stop in and leave your unnecessary negativity rather than just scrolling on. Go for a lay down, Karen.
