Are you really going compare that replica piece of 💩 to a genuine Seiko Sarb? I've seen photos of that Wish turd and it's a real crapper with fake Seiko movement. Not sure why you posted it.

Your phone is pointless… my watch has accurate time… lol.

Phones, and watches are pointless. My custom sundial has accurate time…sometimes.

        • Wizards really are pointless - even in Oz.

      lol, here's a review of that thing - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVz0iqxZX-0

It's amazing that I bought this watch a couple of years ago at almost half the price of now.

    • +1

      Ill buy it for $500

Indeed, similar thing is happening with the old Monster divers, could get them for $200ish in the early 2010s but they're $600+ now.

    Is this a miyota movment?

    • +1

Uhhhh, can't tell if joking, but Seiko only uses Seiko movements.

    • +1

I guess you don't know anything about watches hey?

  • I better stop watching these posts, might make me more time poor.

      Nothing beats the snowflake.

      • It's certainly a beautiful piece and currently number 2 on my wishlist. Now just have to stump up the $9k. Although its still hard to justify it in my head for something with Seiko written on it.

        • Grand Seiko ;)
Titanium, zaratsu polishing, that dial and of course, the smooth, smooth spring drive.
You could do a lot worse with 9k, not that I could chuck that on a single watch myself..

          • @zonra: Oh agreed that it's certainly "worth" the asking price as far as luxury watches go. The craftsmanship is immacculate.

I just have to mentally detach Grand Seiko from the same company that makes $50 shitters in third world countries by the container load.

            • @Tsuivan: Will find it more accepting when people realise the new Seiko premium automatic range using 6r35 are at $3000 range. I wish they remake the Shogun with sapphire crystal and new 6R15, happy to pay anywhere from 2-3k for it.

I would go for those than the cheap Swiss. Think Tissot, Raymond Weil and the like. In fact, Swatch and Tissot are owned by the same company with different branding, but are different watches aimed at different target market.

  • 100m water resist, suited to swimming and not diving? Thats some deep swimming.

      It doesn't work like that.

Thanks OP. This discontinued model is getting harder and harder to find at a reasonable price. I finally pulled the trigger on this.

Remember to use Cashrewards for 5.3% off ($35.05) to bring it down to $626.36.

That's a lot of money for what looks like a glorified seiko5.

    • It should be alright. If there's something wrong you can just return it (although returning it all the way to the US).

      Current price is $599.47 = $633.02 - $33.55 (5.3%)
