Remaining Components of Itx Build, Couldn't Find Better Availability/Prices Elsewhere: ( Thoughts?

Dear ozbargain deal hunters, I've been planning and slowly getting an ITX build and thanks to the deals recently, I'm getting a 3700x + 32GB RAM + a NOCTUA U9-S + WD Black 500GB m.2 SSD.

Just left the other components that I'm pretty settled on but can't for the life of me find a better deal online for those parts T.T

Do you have advice/leads on where else to look?

Or perhaps I should wait for the EOFY sales?

Looking to finish the build in the 3rd week of June.

Thanks a lot of reading till the end too! Means a lot to me :)

    I would get a b450 instead.

    • could consider the Gigabyte B450 I AORUS PRO WIFI AM4 Mini-ITX Motherboard 🤔

You could probably grab a ASUS ROG Strix B450-I and save $260 dollars, but lose out on PCIE 4.0 support.

B550 boards are "coming soon". The specs and pricing information is up though

    • Yea was thinking the same thing, didn't know how soon was soon tho 🤷

    • Thanks! Almost forgot about static ice

I would stick with x570 or wait for b550 considering the other components

    • Heh, came to the same conclusion, just wish I knew when the B550 was coming out :( heard they'd be cheaper with almost/similar specs

  • I'm wanting to do a build with this case too. Already have Ryzen 3600, RAM and RX570 GPU. Ordered Corsair SF600 Platinum SFX PSU to come in a month.

Thinking of the Asus B450-I Strix to get 2 x m.2 ports

Are you going to get a 2 x slim 120mm case fans for bottom of case?

Here's a good build video that shows the case and also if you wanted to use a 240mm AIO on the side panel
    https://youtu.be/eJ7lzWXqMGE

    • wasn't convinced with the B450 Strix cause BT 4.2(I use lots of wireless devices so don't wanna get left behind there)

yep bottom and wherever makes sense

wanted silence and heard AIO can end up louder/noisier than ye old traditional options so avoided it instead.

can't wait for the newer boards, decided to wait for the b550s (although I dunno if I can hold myself if a good deal happens with them X570 boards

  • How's your build going? I'm just waiting for case and PSU

    • ended up going with… wait for it… with a 450i board (the aorus one)

      GASP

yea well I got tired of waiting, all my parts were in except for my psu case and mobo. I ended going with a be quiet! SFX-L 600W PSU, Aorus b450i wifi mobo, and the Cougar QBX.

      Things I cared about:
      - Value
      - Quiet/Silent
      - BT 5.0
      - Availability and shipping speed

Happy with everything so far, only irony is that my GPU is probably going to be the noisiest part of my setup.

      • Nice! Here's my ever growing list
        https://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/munchero/saved/#view=zYnDcf

I went with Sapphire Pulse 5700 XT

        • pretty cool! could I know your noise levels? off/on load?

I avoided the sf series psu and water cooling because they were known to be loud but could never really get a clear answer on it from online resources

          • +1

@confidantduk: I haven't started building yet, as don't have the case or PSU. Should have it by Mon/Tues.
I plan to put feet at the bottom to get more airflow underneath. Also people seem to underclock their 5700XT to reduce fan noise.

SF PSU fans only run at load so should be quiet. This is my first foray into water cooling, so I'm also curious. The gurgling noise can be reduced by moving the AIO so that the air bubbles are at the top (saw this in a video).
