What about SolarEdge with optimizers? I have shading issues.

    • +1

Yes, we can definitely provide you with an option for an optimized system using optimizers. Please contact us at [email protected] or on 1300 516 250 for further information.

Not sure about this company but I will say it is good price for 6.6 kw system. Also you can’t go too wrong with Jinko + Fronius.
It is actually 0.37 x 18 = 6.66 kw if I am not wrong. Anyway max output 5 kw as per the inverter.

    • Totally agree, Jinko & Fronius is a great option when going Solar!

Just to provide you with some information about us: Pristine Solar is a CEC Accredited Solar Retailers operating in Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales. On top of this, all installations are completed by CEC Accredited Installers. The advantage of going with an SMA PowerUp Partner is that you will get a free +5 years warranty only for the inverter. We are happy to help if you have any queries in regarding going Solar :)

How much is the difference if changing to Huawei Hybrid Inverter Sun 2000L?

    • Rebate $1,888 will be reduced from July. Does the system need to be installed to get the rebate $1,888?

      • PM sent :)

        • I have the same question. Can you please send me the pm?

        • Rebate $1,888 will be reduced from July. Does the system need to be installed to get the rebate $1,888?

          • @vssv: No, the system does not need to be installed by June 30 - the application just has to be approved by then 😊

I've recently got a system installed by Pristine via their last promotion here. Been very happy with their service and the installation quality.

    • Very happy to hear that :)

  • I nearly got a system installed by Pristine, however my energy provider has me limited to 0 export back to grid. :(

  • +3

    Any deals for Perth please?

  • +1

    Systems certainly getting cheaper.

I got three quotes via SolarQuotes and a seperate one from Pristine. Other three said there wasn’t much margin for the price and was a decent system, and to go for it. Have the panels stayed the same in price while the wattage has gone up? $400 cheaper than previously.

Still waiting on the install. Wonder if I should have waited a bit longer.

  • +1

is there a benefit of the 370 panels compared to 330? i.e. is it the same cells on a bigger panel?

    • +1

Less panels, Takes up less roofspace, quicker to install, clean etc

      • Agree with everything bobzor said. Along with this, 370W panels are more efficient in comparison to their 330W counterparts.

    - it is an existing property, valued at under $3 million
    - they do not have an existing solar PV system

What's the cost without the rebate and without the loan?

    • +2

      Second paragraph, third line.

Please Note: total cost for Solar PV System without Solar Vic Rebate & Loan is: $5,399 (incl. GST, incl. STC Rebate).

      • Includes Rebate is still confusing me there, maybe I’m tired. Is it $5,399 before or after rebate?

        • $5,399 is without the Solar Victoria Rebate, but includes the STC's, which is a federal rebate.

          • @loksmack: Is there certain criteria that needs to be met for the federal rebate?

            • +1

@sween64: Yes, but don’t worry about it because it’s almost impossible not to meet it unless you are using dodgy equipment or are installing a commercial size system.

  • +1

Definitely interested in getting it installed in our home in melbournes east . Would appreciate if you could PM me with more details please

  • +1

Can someone explain why it’s a 6.6KW system and only a 5kW inverter? What about the extra 1.6kW on the panels? Can usage generated be tracked via wifi and and an app by any chance?

    • +2

133% Oversizing is allowed. Panels rarely produce their rated output during the day or year. The inverter will clip any excess. Fronius have an App and uploads production data to the cloud.

  • +1

Can I book now and schedule install after a couple of months and claim rebate now? We are building currently. I have already claimed rebate once for the current house 2 years ago. Does that matter? Please let me know. Thanks

Hi OP, I've been interested in solar for a while but the way my house is designed I have most of my available roof space facing the West and East. The North facing roof space is the smallest space and already has a solar hot water system installed on it so not sure how many solar electrical panels can fit around it. Can you guys provide assessments?

    • Try an online calculator. There may be a link on Solarquotes

    • Unable to send you a PM. Please email us at [email protected] or call us on 1300 516 250. We can provide a FREE Roof Analysis and provide you with your would-be monthly savings and payback period.

      • +1

Just sent an email in for the roof analysis :)

  • +1

I currently have an older system with 8x250w (I think, may be 200w) panels, does this mean I am ineligible for the loans and rebates?
