Small monitor ( <24") with HDMI port

Hi all,

I've got a specific question. Is there any inexpensive small monitors that are < 24" that support HDMI ports. I want to put my nintendo switch on my secondary monitor instead of my main one, i.e. if I'm idling it's better to have the switch on the secondary monitor. I want something smallish so it can fit my table as well.

  • Yes, there are. Depends what your view of inexpensive is.

    • EG Acer at $139, but you may need to preorder from a Retailer, and wait a few weeks.

  • Kogan has few sub 24" 1080p monitors: here and here

  • there's plenty of cheap 23" monitors.
It's around $130 for the low end of the spec (e.g. https://www.centrecom.com.au/aoc-22e1h75-215-5ms-1920x1080-m…)
    It depends what you're after.

    • When you're not going above 75hz, IPS is a must and especially at a smaller size where it's easy to go off axis. Though it costs more it is definitely worth it imo.

  • +1

There are plenty of ex-government and refurbs on gumtree and eBay going really cheap (again depending on your definition of cheap). Might have native HDMI otherwise you will need a HDMI to DVI or mini-DP converter cable.

If you are after brand new then they are practically everywhere, even Officeworks has multiple 24(23.x) inch monitors.

  • On a related note, does anyone have any recommendations for decent 24" monitors around the $150 mark?

LG 24MK430H-B or 22MK430H-B depending on size needs. Got the 24" for $145 pre-COVID with a 1080p 75hz IPS panel. Trust me, 75hz is a huge jump from 60hz.

    • Cheers Rajey. Will look into that.

Might also check out AOC - have another comp with a 27V2Q panel that I'm pretty happy with

      • Yep V2Q is AOC's equivalent.
