Run The Jewels' Killer Mike and El-P have announced they plan to release their new album ‘Run The Jewels 4’ for free. “I don’t have shit left to say right now that me and my brother Killer Mike don’t express on this album so I’m not saying shit any more 'til then,” El wrote in the post. “On it is all our joy, humour, friendship and rage. We got bangers to help you lose yourself and smile, and we got shit that comes from the deepest places in our hearts. So when it drops on Friday, it will not only be for sale but will be made available FREE for ANYONE who wants some music.” The long-awaited record lands June 5 (US time).

RTJ2 & RTJ3 are also available free (links thanks to SteveBuscemi).

      While usually I probably would have just negged someone for a comment like that for a band I like, with what's happened recently, I really need to be more open minded and positive. They're a pretty cool band man. They've got a good sound. No, I guess it's not for everyone. But hey, that's music.

    I wouldn't say I'm the biggest RTJ fan but Company Flow was the reason I started actually liking hip hop back in the late 90s as a teenager.

    Will definitely be giving this a proper listen.

      When RTJ3 was released it was available for free on their website, so should just be a direct download in your file format of choice.

    For those who don't know who RTJ are, you may have seen Killer Mike on the news recently when he was asked to speak in to the media to ask for calm as the 'plot, plan, strategise, organise and mobilise' guy. He's very influential and there's worse things you could do with your time than checking out some of their tracks. Thanks for the post TA.

      I actually like that.. but I gotta say its the injections of unnecessary rude words that generally kill it for me (usually b*, n* words). It would be way more powerful without it. They are bandied around like a poorly used stereotype in music.. which isn't cool.

    Love RTJ. I remember seeing them at the Glastonbury Festival in the UK in 2017. Mike’s grandmother had died just days before and it seemed all hope of them appearing was gone, but they came through and delivered. Incredible scenes.

    Jaime and Mike giving their album free and earlier than they said initially is great!
