Unless you're using it a lot, just get something like this https://www.tradetools.com/product-range/power-tools/accesso…

Don't buy them from Bunnings.. total ripoff.

If you are needing to drill a lot of holes, you're better off buying the specific size you need rather than a set (and not from Bunnings).

    • hcca yep good price & tradie quality

      ,.

  • Why the best brand? Hundreds of holes to drill? Maybe you need to look for value for money. I got some at Bunnings on runout, think they are Bosch branded and work fine for occasional holes.

  • For home use I usually go for Irwin brand drill bits for brick/concrete.

  • All of mine are either Sutton, Irwin or Ramset branded. I just buy the typical concrete self tapper, plastic plug insert and dynabolt sizes. 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm.

    • Ugh, flashbacks :/

I'm sure its just me being crap, but I find I have to go down a size of drillbit (especially if I use hammer mode) when drilling into bricks i.e. use a 5mm drillbit for a 6mm plug otherwise the plugs are just loose in the hole.

  • Been using Milwaukee and Makita SDS bits for years for work. Last well and relatively inexpensive.

Decent cheap set with a decent range of bits for example,

Part number is D-47335 if you want to shop around.

  • Cheers much appreciated!just general around the house work
