  • sanity bluray bundle always seems to come back around xmas time. the above deal still seems pretty good, but being so close to xmas if anyone can hold on for another few more weeks the sales are going to start much earlier this year due to poor takings this year.

plus vote because pretty good price for today, but watch them start to come out of wood work over next month or 2.

  • +1

It isn't really that great of a deal. The player is only $141 at JB: http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/home%20theatre/blu-ray%20play… and with the spare $38 you can choose whatever blu-rays you like from Amazon. I know that the value of those blu-rays all up is greater than $38, but I'd rather get movies I want to see.

    • This player is now $99 at JB, so this deal is definitely not worth it…

  • Some feedback on Samsung blu-ray players: I have a bd-c5500 Samsung blu-ray; it's very slow and often unresponsive, and it permanently freezes when on pause for > 5 minutes (which is when it stops itself to conserve energy). Apparently it's a standard problem on that model. Not sure I'd buy another Samsung blu-ray.

    • I've got both Samsung and Sony Blu-ray players. I much prefer the Sony players. Much better DLNA support on the Sony and better IPTV support.

      • Agree. I have both a Samsung bd-c5500 player and a Sony BDPS370 player and the Sony is far better. Never froze, DLNA is fast, iView works great as well.
I would avoid this Blu-ray deal and wait for something similar with a Sony player.

  • Not buying but noticed that the website states $349 in the product screen, the same when you add it to the cart.

There is also postage on top. To my location I got two options $11.10 via TNT or $18.50 via eParcel.

    • Seems fixed now.
