Agreed, had a Samsung washing machine and fridge - never again.
LG is better
LOL
I did a lot of appliance research last year after buying a house. Samsung appliances (and in particular washing machines) filled forums with horror stories. Scratched them off my list very quickly (and ended up going with a German made Bosch washing machine).
Front loaders? Had one for 8 years and never skipped a beat. I thought it was only their toploaders that had issues.
I saw lots of stories of people having Samsung frontloaders leaking
@kapone: It’s fairly normal for front load machine to leaks after a few years, you can get replacement seal for it. I’ve just replaced seal for my Bosch, still going after 5 years no other problems
Looked into buying this a while back, this model is nothing but trouble.
Known water leak issue
samsung only good for phones.
Phone is fine?
German made Bosch or nothing
Searched. Could only find 10kg. Is there a 12kg available?
We had a series 8 front loader die after just 3 years. Replaced it thus year with a haier, it washes as well and super quiet.
Thought I had a great deal buying this for 1150 a few weeks ago. I've used it once, seems fine. We'll see how it goes in the next few years.
I paid for the (white) $957.00 on May 25. This is a good find OP.
I take real issue with Samsung’s naming convention on these washing machines 🤣
Yeah, bespoke means custom made for the individual.
Exactly. Mass produced consumer goods are antithetical to "bespoke" lmao
I have the white version and the matching heatpump dryer that sits on top. Don't listen to the negatives. This has been faultless coming up 2 years now. At least one cycle a day. This is a good price although I got it for ~$700 from Samsung Edu preorder.
I second this comment, love our set. The Samsung heat pump dryers are also highly rated and dries quicker than most other brands.
The price!? Wow.
$700?? thats impressive
Do you use powder or liquid detergent? Seems that samsung advises to use liquid. Wondering if he has issues dissolving powder
Have only ever used liquid
I would certainly invest on an LG which has direct drive and well reviewed. Unless the Samsung is dead cheap which in this case is not. Go with LG any day.
Is the LG really better? Very bad review from this link https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/lg-wv9-1412w-12kg
Same price at lg with free delivery
$150 store cash with TGG
If anything goes wrong with it or it is DOA prepare for a world of hurt.
Their customer support and warranty are centred around skirting Australia consumer law and disempowering the customer by removing all avenues to get a resolution. Absolute crock.
Yup. Had to argue with their CS team on the phone for 2 hours before they relented and gave me a refund.
It was during my company dinner as well, so I was extra relentless.
How about this $996 Electrolux 12kg Ultimate Care 700
