    preheating a traditional oven is way too slow.
    This is instant and easy to use/ clean.

    I prefer the Phillips. My mother in law has this De'Longhi one and I don't particularly like the way the oil pools in the pan. I find I have to turn things over to stop them burning on the base. It's quite similar to cooking something in the oven in a baking dish. The Phillips one I have has a basket (like a traditional deep fryer) so the oil drips through into the base. It seems to cook more evenly without having to turn the food over as well.
