Buying Electronics with Batteries from Overseas

Hi guys, I am trying to buy several small electronic gadgets from Fasttech and upon checkout, the screen says this:

shipping methods, estimated delivery times, and restrictions
Some shipping methods (including free shipping) to Australia may not be available because of these items:
Batteries: Authentic Xiaom… (SKU 9666493), Authentic Xiaom… (SKU 9718929)

and then the shipping methods include Registered Air Mail by singapore post, Registered airmail by TNT and also Australia expedited air. not sure what these are listed if it says that shipping methods may not be available.

I have contacted Fasttech but have not gotten a response so far.

Am thinking if i should buy from another source (such as aliexpress) but am wondering if this will get the same issue as well.

Anyone have recently bought electronic gadgets with built-in batteries from overseas? In my case the batteries are those small coin-size batteries.

Thanks

They're ok. The sellers use the "no lithium battery" excuse to leave them out to save costs.

Most of the time they come (factory) installed anyway.

    • ahh that's how they do it. Thanks for that.

      • It's really meant for the LiPo packs that tend to catch fire, but hey if we can shaft the buyer out of a few cents…
