  Thanks OP. Got one from my local bunnings with price beat. Manager was friendly and helpful but didn't seem too happy about the big discount.

      Which ones did you guys go to? Do you have receipts? I sent to one which didn't want to because the mgr said it was one day sale, another said they wouldn't because it was a sale. I nv encountered sale price as a reason before.

        Their terms are if it is clearance they won't do it. So those managers were incorrect head back with a copy of my receipt and tell them you will complain to head office if they don't follow their policy.

          @iratepirate: Spoke to my local bunnings and they said they won't price match off another receipt as they don't know whether the low price is because it's missing a part or for some other reason, as they don't appear on the recipts. Were happy to price match a sale (but obvs sale has ended).. Gosh, they really do make it as difficult as possible.
