They frequently have sales but you would need to be extremely lucky for the exact items you are after being on sale. I dont recall any flat % off site wide ever

    • saw similar comments elsewhere too but glad I could hear it from you, thanks!

I doubt there will be any from anyone, most if not all pc parts stores are out of stock or sitting on low Inventory (inflated prices) purely due to the shutdown of China/Asia from Corona.
2-3months time should see a return to normal.

    • I’m currently looking to build a custom one for my in-laws & 80% of parts are inflated compared to 6months ago

      • @red85apple true, good point, not much point waiting then

been picking out parts here and there from the 'sales' lol, oh well what timing, thanks!

Goodd luck even getting a PSU lol

  • Pccg almost never have big sales. They don't need to. Their prices are already very competitive and their turnover is high. A retailer doesn't drop prices on their items or " have a scale" for the customers benefit, they do it to boost their profits, or to clear out a superseded item.

Very competitive? I always find them to be more expensive than most stores.

This is not even remotely true. They consistently have the highest prices of most pc stores and in extreme examples you can pay up to $100 more for a single part.

For example a ryzen 7 3700x processor is currently $559 on pc case gear and the exact same processor is $443 on amazon aus, a staggering $116 difference!

You may not get sales but if you're willing to shop at other stores you can pretty easily knock over $100 off this price. PCCG are one of the most overpriced pc stores out there. If you got the PSU/motherboard elsewhere you'd pretty comfortably save $120-150 depending where you buy.

Also this case can take an ATX psu if you don't want to pay the extra for an sfx psu, if you are planning on going smaller in the future though ignore this part :)

  • Sf600 is extremely good…
Im looking at a focus plus 750 or supernova 750 g2/g3…these are equally as good.

    • do you know if the others are quiet? chose the sf600 plat cause it's known to be quiet too

      • Of course they are. All 3 are top tier…extreme performance and reliability. All quiet and highly energy efficient and stable.

  • PCCG isn't even the cheapest out there, shop around.

    • I've tried but part availability scarce rn

I have paid for the SF600 Platinum on Amazon for $199 with expected shipping later in the month.
The SF600 Gold is listed on Amazon now for $205 but temporarily out of stock, though you can still buy it now.

    • woah wish I could get it at that price, how did you find it?

      • +1

I just happened to check all the listings and found it. Keep an eye on it, it may pop back up.

Just emphasise how bad the stock situation is, I sold my used sf600 platinum on eBay for $220, 3 months used.

Good luck getting a PSU and motherboard during this period…
