Is This Pre-Build Worth It?

Hey Ozbargainers,

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/271223787408507/

I've been looking for a 2060 + Ryzen 3600 combo . I came across this on FB marketplace and it seems pretty good and the location is close to me. I've been using a laptop to game for 10 years, need help with valuing this set price. I play games such as CS, League and soon Valorant. Could you instruct me if this Pre-Build is worth it from an ozbargainer perspective. Cheers!

Agreed! some random building PCs Good Luck if something goes wrong with it in the future

      • Thank you for the help! Yeah, I'll probably wait for good prices and build it myself.

At this point you might as well get a Techfast system. However if you can spend the extra to build yourself I'd recommend doing so as you won't have a bomb power supply, A320 motherboard and weak 8GB of RAM. Not to mention only a 120GB SSD.

The sum retail cost of parts is around 1340:

(note I couldn't find the exact PSU, so picked another one that matches the description)
(note I assumed it will come with a $5 Windows 10 OEM key, not retail)

So effectively you would be paying around $300 for assembly and setup labour. You could build a better PC for the same price yourself.

    • Thank You for the advice, yeah I will definitely build it.

      • Keep in mind that this selection of parts might not be optimal - always good to do your own research. I would spend the rest of the 300 on a better motherboard, better PSU, and what's left of that on the GPU.

For one, an A320 motherboard seems less than ideal. You might get old stock that ships with an older BIOS that doesn't support a 3600 out of the box, so you would have to update the BIOS yourself, and to do that you would need to have a Ryzen 1xxx CPU on hand.

PC building community is very welcoming and most people are happy to help out with part selection or any questions

if your display monitor only 1080p@<75hz , then any potato will run fine, even a $300+ system will do

    3200g amd
    a320m mobo
    2x4gb ram
    120gb ssd
    psu/case
