    36 month contract. Screw that.

don't have to stay for the whole plan…

      • Discount applies for the device repayment period. If you cancel your plan, the credit will not apply to any amount outstanding?

        • Not sure if the credit meaning the plan credits or the special.
The special price are normally still applied to the device similar to the iPad deal

@Sevenofnine: "Discounted price $31.88 per month Interest free device payments if you remain on any month-to-month SIM plan for 36 months."

    • +1

same price for 12 months…not sure if you can just disconnect without finishing the plan.

    • You can select 12 months, the total price doesn't change, so doesn't look like you need to select 36 months

    Messy and confusing title

    Price after discount in title.

      i'll update, …Thanks

For the S10 5G, JB is 148.68 cheaper.
The price for Iphone XS and Pixe4 is also terrible.

    • what's your best price for Google Pixel 4 XL?

      • +5

        this is one of it:
        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/528239

There were plenty. Optus been scamming Pixel buyer since start of the year when everyone one is clearing stock with way lower price.

SERIOUSLY, nothing in Optus is worthy since the click frenzy last year. Before then it was just garbage service but now they have poor priced handset and plan couple with "FAMOUS" and "EXCELLENT" services. Great company to part your hard earn cash with.

        • +5

I agree with you on the Optus no longer offer great deals. This is the only offer I found worthy to posted for Optus since last year.

How is this a deal when you can get the iPhone XS Max for $1250 at JB Hifi https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/apple-iphone-xs-max-64gb-…

    • not the same phone…and cost $250+ more! more logical would be https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/apple-iphone-xs-64gb-gold.

      • +1

Agree. Is it worth posting this as a deal?

        • if you're thinking of signing with Optus, then this is a deal -Interest free on the price that is much cheaper than the previous price. Also, there are other phones within the deal

      • +2

The JB Hifi is a better phone and you are not tied to a plan for 36 months. I would call that a much better deal if you want an iPhone!

        • I went with, basically, that deal around Christmas. I wanted an Apple Watch and my iPhone 6 couldn’t take the latest IOS. I was just wondering if people would like it posted as a separate deal.

        • +1

You can select 12 month plan.. still the same price

  • +1

    meh

  • Only pixel 4 xl, if anyone is buying, Is a deal
    The rest are not

    • Really? Its only the 64GB model. If it was the 128GB model, it would have been a deal I reckon.

      • +1

I meant it's cheaper than the other retailers now, not that I would buy a pixel 4 xl.

  • Pixel 4xl only 64gb. it is not enough

  • This was a while ago. Didn't bother

IPhone XS already selling so cheap at HN and JB…

Optus scamming customers locking them in for 36 months !

36 month contracts should be outlawed.

I dont like Optus no more since taken over by Singtel , the most non competitive company In singapore. Optus basically becoming the telstra without the great network , so why pay extra for no extra benefits ?

    • +2

"During 2001, Singtel launched a takeover bid for Cable and Wireless Optus[20] which was ultimately successful[21] and the company became known as Singtel Optus" source Wikipedia

  • Can I add these repayments to an existing Optus monthly plan (out of contract month by month $50 plan) that I already have? If so it would be value for money!

    • +1

      Yes and No
No since you can’t use your existing plans (unless it’s Optus choice plans) to add these repayments.
Yes you could re contract with any optus choice plan and add these repayments.

  • Ain't there a ton of flybuys point bonus currently for buying phone with plan? Or is it for contract plans only?

  • +1

OP may want to amend your description. although it says 36months, you can sign up to either 12,24,36 months and the total phone price does not changes. Meaning you can just as easily select 12 month plan to get the deal

    • Thanks, I updated the description, would have prevented all the neg for 36 month plan :-)
