Luxury Vinyl Plank / Luxury Vinyl Tile recommendations

I know that people have had good experiences with LVP/LVT but have not heard much around specific brands that are good value and what price people have had their LVP/LVT insalled. I have seen that Kardean Korlok is a good product but not sure if it is a bit out of our budget.

Does anyone have any good suggestions for LVT/LPT?

Thanks

Luxury and vinyl in the same sentence, next to each other look strange … but I am sure vinyl flooring has come a long way since the 80s lino

    • Yep. Don’t see much vinyl flooring in high end residences.

  • We built 3 years ago and we've been happy with our vinyl planks from Andersens. According to the invoice, it was 'Purewood 3479 Natural Oak'.

    • Do you remember how much you paid?

      • Prep, supply and install was about $60 per square metre.

Friends of ours went with ceramic tile planks and it was about $100 per square metre.

  • Heartridge Australian timber range. $63 per sq m supply and laid. Love it. Make sure slab is smooth and even.

    • Hey mate just got some samples from them and it seems very nice quality.

Was wondering where you got it supplied and laid from? I can't seem to find many suppliers of their hybrid flooring online.

  • We just had prefinished timber floorboards installed in two bedrooms for only about $500 more than we were quoted for planks. It is stunning! It’s genuine timber too- not engineered. I had never heard of it until it was recommended by someone. We were quoted $4900 for the Korlok. The prefinished timber was $5500. It was about 31 sq metres in total.

  • We had glue to floor vinyl planks installed in our 2 bed. Everywhere except bathrooms and kitchen. Cost us $3600 installed. Would never go back to carpet.
