Twitter Feed Not Updating?

Seems something is wrong with the official ozbargain twitter account. Last updated tweet was 2 days ago?

    OzBargain's Twitter account has been locked by Twitter and we're working on getting this resolved but may take a long time.

  • Our Twitter account @ozbargain has been locked so our backend is not able to tweet new deals. However the main issue right now is that we are not able to log into the OzBargain account (to resolve the account suspension issue), as the two-factor authentication SMS never arrives.

    Moreover the Twitter support seems to be either incompetent, or powered by keyword-matching AI that has zero intelligence. We have submitted the support tickets three times, stating the 2FA issue, but they have always replied with the same canned message asking us to reset password.

    Anyone knows anybody at Twitter that can look at our issue?

  • Any progress with this? I’m really missing the twitter feed, it was my primary source of up to date deal posts!

    • Can't contact any human at Twitter. We've tried the support tickets, tweeting @TwitterSupport & @TwitterAU and tried to connect someone at TwitterAU on LinkedIn.

      Meanwhile I've set up a temporary account @ozbargainnew where you can follow. It's basically the same thing — all new deals tweeted.

  • Twitter is not your friend, both your accounts have been locked this time! What’s going around on?!

    • Yep, OzBargain and ChoiceCheapies are now locked. Trying to get them unlocked again. A lot of our other accounts were also locked but we've managed to unlock them.

      I suspect Twitter is doing more checks for bots. We are a bot but not the bad election interference or state actor bots they are trying to get rid off.
