I haven't been keeping up with the latest in crockery technology but is this a good set of pots and pans?

Also, anyone have any recommendations for a good knife set under $150?

This is cheap, decent enough for the general user

You just kinda missed out on this

        It's back in stock!

        • now it's back to $179 (from $129!)… D=

  • Thanks OP

  • are these the ones with the lifetime warranty, that if the non stick fails, you can just take it back for a replacement?

    • +2

Yes, a chunk of the non-stick coating came off one of my pots and they sent a replacement last week.

      • When did you purchase them? I don't think tefal had lifetime warranty.

  • I wish they brought back the Ingenio series, I've been trying to find them for a reasonable price!

    • Same :(

These guys are getting it back mid-July. While it's significantly more expensive than the deal, it's still a good price.
I was going to order it but then thought that if they're getting it back in, maybe other places are too and maybe we'll see some better prices again. No idea if that'll be the case, but fingers crossed!

I can wait for a month or so to find out.

  • Can these be put inside the oven? I see rubber materials around the handle, hence I assume this will melt in the oven?

Hmm Tefal and teflon. What's the current view on Teflon?

Had this set for 2 years. Fry pans non stick bubbles up where the handle rivets are. Continues to peel off from there.
Happened to see some friends with the same set. Theirs happens to have done the exact same thing…

I have a set of tefal, French collection or something and the non stick bubbled and peeled off them after about 18 months as well with normal use and not putting them in the oven. Bought Anolon fry pans at the same time with similar use and they are still going strong after 4 years.

      • Should I buy these or wait until.anolon goes on sale?

  • thanks OP. Purchased from the good guys ebay store, which help to burn my ebay gift card.

  • Are these the made in france or china ones?

  • Can I just get a fry pan only?

  • Jamie Oliver branded tefal is the same price.

  • Happy I pulled the trigger 3 hours ago via Amazon.

Out of stock via Amazon and the closest TGG C&C is 150km away… (based inner city Melb)

Don't forget shopback and discounted gift cards through suncorp/macq

  • Crap just paid $99 for saute pan plus stew pot from big w

      Return it?

      • Wondering if the single units are better quality or just the same as the set

  • Just got my set. Feel ripped off. The saucepans and stewpot aren't Teflon coated.

    • Don’t they use a clear protective coat?

      • Clear coat??
        Meaning its still non stick?

Looks like normal steel to me.
