Been on the look out for this after I dropped my last one after having it for about 7 years and it broke.

Not the best price ever but looks like the best price in 2020 so far.

Also available at Harvey Norman on clearance for the same price

  • Been waiting on a sub $200 deal on these being a old model now, can’t justify paying $250 when the New model is $329 .. same time they have the market tight no good deals for some time

    • What's the new model got the older model don't?

      • +1

See here .. I wouldn’t pay $329 but if it came down to $2-250 range would be more reasonable

Ah right.. Thanks man. Wife and I currently have a the old one. This is our second one as previous one died after accidental drops. Whoops.

          • @starburstyellow: Contact Phillips warranty even if it’s out of warranty, their service is 10/10 they will likely replace it, just don’t say you dropped it lol

@RogueWolf: ohh really? haha dang okok next one ill give it a shot. Would have saved me $299

Or just buy the Oclean X. Having owned two Philips Diamond Clean toothbrushes as well as many Braun and a Xioami one over the years, I can safely say that the Oclean X smashes them all. The battery life is probably 4 times longer than the Philips and it vibrates more. The power does start to drop a bit once it gets to about 80% but not by much and it actually fast charges so it's easy to top up anyway. Plus, make sure you have a supply of heads because you can't buy them in Australia so need to import them.

    • How is the experience with getting replacement heads?

      • +1

Gearbest sell them. Unfortunately I went with Aliexpress in March and they never turned up. Seems to be the norm with Aliexpress now. You can a refund but that's not the point. FYI, the heads are amazing.

        • Same problem with Gearbest. Bought toothbrush heads for another brand in mid-March. Hasn't arrived yet and no refunds from Gearbest, just a store credit or keep waiting.

    • It's got a freaking screen in it! That magnetic charger looks nifty though.

  • Standard price at Costco. But it's been well over a year since I've seen Amazon price it at sub-$200.

  • I don't recommend this old model… it has a problem where it will lose its power and needs to be opened up to fix which is a real pain…i got 2 of these and they both developed the problem. Not sure if new one is any good

    • I've had mine since they were first released (would be at least 8 years at a guess?), it hasn't missed a beat.

    • Had the same issue, don’t recommend.

    • Mine lasted 5 years before it started losing power. Haven't tried opening it up to fix. Assuming there's some youtube tutorials on the web?

      • yes .. plenty of tutorials.. but you will almost ruin the toothbrush by opening it … some clips will break or you scratch it… but you need to adjust a space in the near the magnet.

    • Could be worth contacting Phillips about this. Mine was outside of warranty and they were happy to send me a replacement.

    • needs to be opened up to fix

What exactly do you fix there?
I opened up mine and I can't figure it out what to fix.

Had the same issue with 2 handles. Brother and friend also had issues. Seems like a common issue if you look at Product Review website.

Disappointed with the quality of such an expensive toothbrush!

  • 2 for 200$ at costco

    • ? More info

      • i saw it in costco, its a special promo packaging, black and pink, price is $199. thats all i can remember

    • Doesn't seem right with the black being the same price as this deal?

  • Mine broke recently and I replaced it with a ~100 Sonicare instead. Seems to do the same job, just less modes and no glass charging cup.

In my opinion OralB technology is better than sonicare in cleaning.

  • I'm glad my Philips just died - much prefer the Oral B

  • Both my Sonicare Diamondclean broke within 2yrs, prior to that had Oral B for 10+ yrs. Must be bad batch?
