Rich dark red in colour with a dark purple rim, the nose shows rich concentrated red and blue fruits, dark chocolate and rich mocha notes with hints of spice and cedary oak.

The palate is rich and plush with good structure. There is a concentrated layer of berry fruit and oak which is balanced with the fine tannins to give length and power while finishing soft and full of flavour.

This wine can be enjoyed now but will also improve with careful cellaring.

Retro Wines The Johnny Shiraz has a ripe plum character from the grapes that is balanced with the spice and peppery tones. It is a very balanced wine with grapes havested  from the McLaren Vale.     Stump Jump & Pepperjack are both decent cheap offerings from big wineries. Neither are home brand.

    Hi Manic the other wines are lesser know McLaren Vale wines they are very good Shiraz from McLaren Vale and very popular on our site. Perhaps you should give them a go before making judgement as our customers are extremely pleased with the quality and price of these wines. All I can say is don't knock it if you haven't tried it.       I just get annoyed by the fake RRP you and others post. Might taste good, but "save 55%" is a lie. I guess you and others are so accustomed to doing it, you don't notice.

      The only thing special about Pepperjack is the name. Not sure if they earned that through an exceptional vintage once, or just clever marketing.
      I see you are aiming for a "halo effect" with the others bundled in.

        Hi Manic, I am sorry if this annoys you but I can assure you all these wines sell elsewhere at their standard RRP price. The market has a lot of distressed stock due to recent events and as such a lot of discounts. The winner being the consumer. I understand that some suppliers may escalate claims and I can assure you we don't. We offer as much value back to our customer as we can and we work very hard to secure excellent deals. If I don't show the savings people get frustrated if I do other's do. So at this stage we will stick with showing the savings.

  Stump Jump has been on clearance for $5 per bottle at liquorland for the last few weeks, Pepperjack has been on special for $10 lately.

    Pepperjack is never discounted down to $10, I'd be keen to see a receipt so I can get it price matched. You might get it for $16 on special if you're lucky.

        We have never seen it at this price either as we cannot even get it at this price wholesale. It is a popular product but the other wines in this pack are good if not better.

    Hi Mazo84 can I ask if you have tried these wines. We have had excellent reviews on all the wines and this is one of our most popular packs. I think it is harsh to vote negative to a wine deal when you might not of even tasted the wines.

      I've tried pepperjack and stump jump and have a good idea about them. Which winemaker makes the other two wines and at what winery? What are the specs on them - alc%, oak format etc etc? There's very little info on those two other than generic tasting notes.
