Has Anyone Heard of AUSTRALIS Brand of Shock Absorbers?

hi guys,

Has anyone heard of AUSTRALIS brand of shock absorbers? I couldn't find anything on the internet about this company. Weird part is they have 3 years warranty.

  • What's the worst that could happen?

nope I wouldn't touch, Monroe not that expensive but pretty good shocks

I bought the absolute cheapest shocks for a Getz to get it roadworthy and sell it. Mechanic who fit them didn't show any concern.

Those are $150 with postage, but these are $130 and also have 3 year warranty…

    Or $120 with a 2 year warranty…

    Warranty doesn't cover labour though.

Looking at each sellers' feedback profile there's a lot of comments saying great product, including for the cheap shocks. For an old Excel I would just get the cheap ones.

I would not be worried. This is for a car that is fairly light, and by the kms does not get driven very often.
A new no brand shock absorver will always be better than an expensive brocken one.

    • Thanks! I won’t be using it for long term. True , the mechanic asked me to replace only 1 each side but I would rather have all replaced.

I agree with you. better to change at least a pair at the time.

  • Have you tried the wreckers?

    • I want to sell in the future so wreckers would be good but not sure if it will last.

They test shockers when they make cars so it will last
Look for a clean shocker, then you know it has done low kms
Or go to the car and check the odo, that will tell you the mileage
Thgen remove the shocker from that car

You will be fine with a shock from the wreckers, they will even fit it if you want them to
If it does go crook, I doubt it, they will replace it free, most good wreckers will do that
Just go and talk to them, they don't bite :)
