250

At the risk of being pigeon holed as a bit of a booze hound, I found this one while looking for a nice Shiraz. Had it before, was pretty good. Bws has it for $19…

Handy at this price - at RRP you can always find something better

They drop down to around to $10 a bottle at Dan's often enough for me and the Mrs to buy a few cases. Compared to liquorland and bws, this is a good price.

Agree. $10 is the price point to aim for.

    Buy 2 dozen.

    Put way for 3 years.

Drink and marvel at your fabulous foresight in storing a cheap scoffer for a few years.

I agree. I used to buy cases of this stuff and put it down for up to a decade. I would write the year I would open it and have a bottle a month from it for that year. It's got a bit of a bite when young but mellows very nicely - or well it did back in 90s when I would do this. I think 3 years extra waiting is the minimum.

What about quality of wine in the bottle? $6.90 if not Penfolds?

  • they need to do these on a subscription basis

  • Good drop off you can cellar at least 3 years. And some years are brilliant.

    • Hah there are few of who do that with this drop. I might get a box and put it down for a few years for old times sake. My wife likes a cheap sweet wine, so I have not cellared them for decades.

This makes it cheaper than original deal.

        • I think you're not reading it right. It's 11.30 per bottle without discounts. Making a case $3.60 more affordable than OP. With Prime you also get free home delivery.

The cash back and gift card would bring it down even more but agree with you on the hassle they require and didn't bother with those.
