  Good guys commercial had the google mesh for like 280 (base station plus 1 extra station). For those that have Suncorp insurance you can access good guys commercial for free. Not sure if it’s availabe anymore.

      Sorry I just realised it’s SunSuper not Suncorp. I just signed up for Suncorp insurance and got the two mixed up!

  As good as mesh wifi’s selling point sounds (i.e. automatically switching to stronger signal point), I still don’t think Mesh’s advantage is worth so much more over a 1/5 price of a wifi extender….

    Extender is close to hopeless. Next closest is an Asus AiMesh setup. Cheapest is app $300 for 2x AC67U.

        Performance wise. Tenda is so so. never tried the other two.

        Aside from that, AC67U gives full router functionality (on each unit - 4x gigabit ports, USB3 and USB2).

        I use 2.4 for all devices and allow 5.0 as gateway between the two devices.
