    • Ported 2 numbers - took 20-30 minutes all together.

  • If I want to port my number from optus to boost. Does it give you an option to do this when you activate the prepaid Sim?

  • Bah! Officeworks won't price beat this anymore, they matched the $250 price and I couldn't get them to budge on the phone.

Next best option is to buy direct and get $7 cashback with CashRewards ($243)

    • No cashback for $300 SIM

      $40 Prepaid SIM $7
      $30 Prepaid SIM $5
      $10 Prepaid SIM $2.5
Cashback On All Other Plans & Products $0
      $2 Prepaid SIM $0.6

Right you are, I missed that.

Oh well $250 it is. The penalty for not buying first and thinking later!

  • Yup, OW reduced their price also to $250.

  • Oh no, can someone confirm there is no longer a Vodafone $2 sim? What other $2 sim companies I can port out to and then port back in to boost?

  • Have your SIMs been sent out?

I ordered a couple of days ago but haven't received any tracking confirmation as yet.

    • Got an email from Telstra saying that the shipping is delayed due to Ransomware situation at TollGroup.

  • No love for existing Boost customers to recharge… always doesn't pay to be loyal

  • If I buy this sim now, can I activate in July some time? Or does it have to be activated by a certain date?

    • Mine has an expiry of 2022.

Managed to get Officeworks to price match with best deal plaza ($248) final total $235.60

    • They have rejected my price match request by OW.

      • Instore or online?

        • On Phone call

          • @marktomtom: I was rejected in-store. OW Doncaster (VIC)
Was told that if their internet would not load the specific website, it means automatic reject (fail to recognize).

            • @vesla: OW store person used his personal phone to verify it for my price match request.

    • Thanks! Got OW to price beat with bestdealplaza. Did take a bit of effort as the website wouldn't load on their internet. I showed it to them on my device and had to get the store manager to go to the site his personal phone without the store wifi on for them to price beat.

      • How much did you end up paying? Hope it’s not in VIC since it’s not worth it going to the store and risking to save a few bucks

        • $235.60 and no wouldn't want to go out atm in Victoria 😔

      • Did you need to persuade them for the PB? I just tried to call on phone as my local store does not have it in stock the last time i was there. CSR on phone said bcos the part number is different, so can't do PB :(

        • Again i just went instore to Midland branch, where they don't keep stock, so i ask for PB anyway, 2 staff checked on their mobile as can't open page on the store computer, took at least 10mins, said got lots of red tapes as there will be people who setup fake website just to get PB (?!), finally agreed to give me the PB, then when trying to order it, can't do so because they don't hv a code to scan n they can't key in the barcode manually, stupid system he said but there's nothing he can do but i will hv to call the 1300 number to get PB ( which i did yesterday n was rejected). seems like i m not destined to get the simcard, it's for my spouse when expiry coming up in mid sep. Still got a few months so hopefully something better comes along!

  • Does anyone know whether Boost can be used for Apple watch cellular? I couldn't find anything about that.
Also, if you're an existing Boost customer and you recharge using this, would your existing unused data carry over to the new recharge date?

Thanks @blackfox. Managed to price beat at officeworks over call for $235.60.

  • Tried activating this on Saturday online and still waiting. Can't call them because they say their contact centre is closed due to covid..how am I supposed to activate?

    • 40 minutes on hold through the incorrect I've channel to try speak to someone because the transfer section just diverts you to their website and hangs up.. and still waiting.. what have I bought… :(

      • Yep totally dodged. Please beware people. I've just searched the boost mobile forums and there are loads of people who have been waiting for weeks for activation and other waiting on the phone for over an.hour trying to get help with no luck. Going to try get the sum refunded.

        • Sounds like a horrible experience. I activated the sim a few days ago with no issues. Even transferred my number across from amaysim and no dramas (and tbh I was expecting to have issues!)

          • @mittne: Great to hear that you had no issue, I plan to switch around September - the expiry for mine is 2021.

          • @mittne: You are so lucky..It's been a week for me and i can't get in contact with them.

            • @swifty7: When porting, always make sure you are porting from one Network to another and not only from one service provider to another. Because porting to a service provider using the same Network as your existing one is done manually e.g. Telstra to Boost, Belong, Woolworths etc. Therefore, if you are on Telstra Network and want to move to another service provider on Telstra network, to avoid any delays, port out first to any service provider using Optus Network, and then to Boost, Belong etc. Both port outs will be automated and completed within minutes.

              • @usmanhafeez2000: Thanks for the reply. It was from TPG to Boost. I couldn't get through to anyone for assistance and it still hasn't been ported (over a week).. I had to file a complaint to the ombudsman. Their forums are filled with people in exact same situations or worse.

                • @swifty7: I did port my number to Boost from Optus today. Port completed within 45min.

                  • @blackfox: You're lucky, I'm still waiting.. over a week..
