+1 I agree too. waste of calories .. eat something that tastes good ( Just my opinion )

      • Tried this because of glowing comments on here, but have to agree - it was somehow watery and powdery all at the same time.

The aldi low cal ice cream is miles better, but sadly they don't sell it any more.

  • Peanut butter is the best.

  • Birthday cake flavour is pretty good.

I like this stuff a lot but my local coles does not store it correctly.

It should taste creamy and smooth, you can tell they've been incorrectly stored because they have a chalky texture (which the ones from my local coles do)

I've tried it twice and both times has been chalky

      • yeah means it's been incorrectly stored

hint: it's not real ice cream

I tried the halo top on the last special but found it a little hard and not smooth (chalky as millsy c mentioned) - at normal price it's way too expensive…. I just found that there was a Peters vanilla ice cream in a local IGA which is no sugar added and 99.? fat free - never seen it in Coles/Woolies but may be wrong… I was surprised to find it's actually quite nice and similar to regular plain ice cream! Something I have missed from time to time since type 2 diabetes…

    These taste like a$$

  • Hazelnut Chocolate is the best one by far. There is a chocolate swirl that runs through the tub.

  • I have found it tastes a lot better slightly melted rather than straight out of the tub. If its too cold, its chalky and dry tasting and not pleasant.

I now sit it on the bench for 10 minutes before serving and it tastes a lot better. Still, it's got nothing on Baskin Robbins/Ben and Jerry's/Connoisseur/Movenpick/Haagen Dazs though. I'm a real ice cream whore.

  • I’m allergic to casein. Tried the dairy free hazelnut one, not bad but would never pay full price. Aldi's one are much creamier :)
