    • Isn’t white? How could it become colourful?

      • sorry should be more clear. the specs are for 2 different bulb one is rgb one is white. they shares many similar specs that's why the website put them together.

        • Okay thanks

Is this white good for bedroom? Thanks

    • -5

      It's a light bulb mate.

      • Yes, but is it warm white or cool white?

        • +3

          Colour Temperature 2700K - 6500K adjustable

          • @CyberMurning: Yes I have 3 now, much better than the Mirabella's. I love the cool white, though I've noticed the warm white isn't particularly warm. Maybe if you also lower the brightness it would get closer to 2700k but to my eyes it's not quite there at full brightness.

For me, having cool white was the goal and more lumens, these lights are amazing for the price.

EDIT: Ahhh, that's because I was saying "cool white" instead of "daylight". Now the difference is more noticeable haha.

  • found this, not sure if works or not: someone please try if you have one at home?

Change the color of a shade of white:
    "Hey Google, make <light> <shade>"
The shade of white can be:
warm white, incandescent, soft white, white, daylight

    • I wonder if you can also do the same with Amazon Alexa ?

    • +1

Yep; we do that on ours all the time.

Anyone has experience with hue and this?

    • +4

Hue requires hub this one doesn’t.

      • Thanks hbutt, do you happen to know if it works with Google Home? I get a bit lost as it says compatible with Google Assistant. New to this, literally owned Hue and Google Nest for a week and looking at automating where I can. Thx heaps

        • +1

works with google home just a few additional steps which is on the app you install can be set up within 10 min

        • +1

google home mini or nest both have assistant so it should work! I have hue it requires hub attached to wifi.

  • Would like to know the same on Hue compatibility

  • There is an RGB version and a white version.

Are you sure this has 16.7 million colors for the white version?

    Ordered anyway.

    • +1

nah, just bad copy paste of HN.
white is just white, rgb model will have that millions

  • Can anyone using this please confirm if it is Tuya app compatible?
    Thanks

There is a Tasmota template for B22 suggesting it is Tuya-based.

      https://templates.blakadder.com/CSH-B22WW10W.html

Interested to confirm if anyone has OTA flashed these to Tasmota and whether they can still get light temperature control in Tasmota.

Also wonder how many Watts these use in standby.

Can justify the WiFi plugs as have them on timers that saves me a lot in phantom power from plugged in devices, just not sure I want to add more phantom power use from the lights though :-).

      • +2

Picked up one of these today to test if Tasmota would work on it. Can confirm that Tuya Convert works on it without a problem.

Temperature and brightness controls both work in Tasmota. Also have them work from Home Assistant.

        • Thanks.

Any idea what the standby power consumption in Watts is?

          • +1

@opposablethumbs: I only have a cheap wall plug power monitor device. So I put the bulb in a lamp and plugged it in. This is what I got from it.

            In Standby: 0.67 watts.
On at lowest dimmer level: 0.75 watts
On at middle dimmer level: ~ 2.5 watts
On at max brightness: 12.2 watts

Don't know how accurate this monitor is, but I hope that is helpful.

            • @Sitehand: Thanks again :-).

            • @Sitehand: Sitehand, just one more question :-).

Do you know if these keep their last state in Tasmota when switched back on at the wall switch?

Have two lights on the same wall switch circuit (one internal and one external). Would prefer the wall switch to be off most of the time until needed for the internal light. Want to put the smart light as the external light and to stay off even when the wall switch is on for the internal light, until I turn the smart light on with my phone.

Therefore, if Tasmota can keep the smart light off regardless of whether wall switch is turned on or off multiple times, until I turn on the wall switch and the smart light on via Tasmota control on my phone would be ideal (and a lot cheaper than getting an electrician to wire up a separate circuit for the two lights).

Not sure if I explained that very well, but hopefully you get the gist :-).

              • +1

@opposablethumbs: Yes, I have it setup with a standard light switch with a Sonoff Mini in the wall and then the Connect Smart bulb in the ceiling running both of them through Home Assistant. So when I turn the switch on it goes back to the last setting in terms of brightness and warm/cool colour setting.

If you turn the light bulb off via your phone, then when you turn the light switch off and on at the wall, it wont come on because the last state of the light bulb itself is off. So you would need to turn the wall switch on and then also turn it on with you phone. Which is what I think is that part you want. That will work as long as the wall switch inst turned on, off, on, off on quick which would trigger the pair option.

Also with Home Assistant you can set it up to change the brightness and colour setting, not sure if that is applicable to you.

Sorry for the late reply, I only just saw your message.
