Beware of Tmart.com ripoff and rudeness

I'm writing here to see if any other had bad experience with this business based in HK.

I purchased (first time customer) a voice recorder and they sent me one with Chinese language menu also a manual which is in Chinese language too.

Today 2nd time I attempted to get help by chat, a silly operator "minister" left me on hold for more than 2 hours.
"please hold 10 minutes" then "I'm looking at it" then "sorry the person responsible is on lunch break, it will take an hour and half" ok I said always politely and available.
After more than 2 hours the idiot was still on chat but he forgot about me and the issue, then I said "hello" and the idiot replayed "hello" then nothing more.
So I asked him to talk to someone else but he replayed that I would get the same support also he played with stupid emoticons.

I quit the chat then again another operator "jamie" I explained the issue and I expressed my intention to make a complaint, the silly operator again responded with stupid emoticons also playing up with non sense feedback, he was really having fun time.

My issue isn't resolved yet and I'm looking to contact my financial institute to claim a credit back.

  • this sounds kinda funny…

by the way you keep writing 'replayed'. i think you mean 'replied' ?

    • Yes you're right but replayed suits too :)

      • +1

        No it does not :-(

  • One of the reasons Aussie retailers try to encourage us to buy here, I guess. Did the item state that it comes with an English menu? If not, good luck getting a chargeback through your credit card.

    • You won't see anywhere if any item has the English manual or menu.

Regarding the Aussie retailers, I would be very very happy to buy from them just be careful because sometimes crocks are everywhere.

      • You won't see anywhere if any item has the English manual or menu.

My point exactly, so the item wasn't misrepresented. You're really at the mercy of the company, and at this point in time it's not looking too encouraging, is it? All the best with it.

        • I don't understand if you're trying to appear smart or trying to help, but I doubt the the second option.

Have you ever seen on any web shopping sites stated "English language" for this item??
And even if the shop is based in HK or China their web pages are in English language, so who's misinterpreting here is you not the web site!

  • Upgrade:
I used their web form to contact them regarding my issue and to complain about chat operator rudeness then I received an e-mail back telling me to contact Tmart at different e-mail address.
I did so then I got "mail delivery failure" in my inbox.
The address they gave to me doesn't exist or they did something to reject my issue.
I even complained on their Facebook page, all my messages were quickly deleted!

Is this a scam business site or what?

  • Upgrade 2:
Finally the issue is resolved, I chatted with another operator who guided me step by step to change the menu language.

I had to be very persistent and lost a lot of time for this cheap gadget but next time I won't buy anymore from them as I feel I was enough lucky to chat with the right person.

  • +1

a silly operator "minister" left me on hold for more than 2 hours.

lol you waited for 2 hours?

    • Indeed, the operator told me that the person responsible for my issue was on lunch break, that was the third time for me trying to get help on chat.

  • Got a link to the item?

  • We have helped dealhunt to get his money back.

  • This thread is 6 months old.wow.. Bump??

    • No Bump. I guess this case may mislead customers and try to lead our members to see what's the following of the case and at the same time
give members more ways to contact us. haha

  • Same happened to me.

    I made two orders.

The first was missing an item and it took ages to get it through their heads that the item was missing from the packages (they use all sorts of delaying tactics). Took ages to get them to agree to resend.

The second order had an item that didn't match the description on the web. It took over an hour of back and forward. (just like the OP they would disappear for ages then come back with "Hello") Then they offered me TMart points worth 10% of the value of the item they sent which was useless to me.

    • Hi, drunifex,
I am sorry to hear that. Because there are tons of letters and cases, it takes some time for our customer service to response to you. But we are trying our best.
