  • Same Price I seen at Woolies yesterday

    • Do they have this 36 pack at Woolworths?

      • It's coles

        • Yeh I see it's at coles but @morediscount above said he saw it at Woolworths also… Ended up just getting it through Amazon in the end

          • -5

@Villainous: Why? what a waste of packaging and delivery. Wonder the amount of emissions taken to bring you toilet paper so you can save a couple dollars…

            • +1

@squanchy: Not much or most likely less difference to me driving to Coles myself. Possibly being sold out then driving to the next one… I've already done my shopping for the week/fortnight, why am I going again?

And your emissions argument is based on nothing. Please present hard evidence of emissions used by you per year and then you also present how much emissions i use per year and let's compare. You can't.

Also show me the actual impact the 'extra emissions' to deliver to my door has on the planet. Not total world emissions, just this case then minus what i don't add.

My last Amazon box is sitting in my lounge as my cats play in it non stop. Other boxes/packaging get used in the garden, garage, design mock ups, kids projects etc etc

Yep i did save a few dollars. Every dollar i don't spend means an extra dollar i don't need to make, which means extra work I don't need to produce, which produces your precious emmisions and so on.

              "How dare you!"

              • -2

@Villainous: It's not the panic buying days where it would be sold out, in fact most places are overstocked now.
And why do you have to compare to my emissions in order to reduce yours? We all should be minimizing our emissions as much as we can. The problem is everyone is so focused on convenience and willing to let future generations deal with the cost.
I'm not saying you're the bad guy or that you don't do anything to minimise your environmental footprint. Just pointing out that in this age of online shopping, we all definitely create a surplus of waste.

Good for those who find it hard to go out or just for conveniences

  • thank you .. save me trip to coles!

  • +4

Almost back to what I normally used to pay @ $12 for 36 rolls.

I still have over 40 left luckily I always stock up.

    • +4

Why do I get negged? I stocked up with the chemist warehouse deal way before panic buying took place.

      • +16

It’s just all the salty people who are too dumb to buy everyday non perishable items in bulk their whole lives and they had to hose themselves off after they did a crap at the start of panic buying.

  • If it is the same price at supermarket then with discount cards and reward points would it not be almost as good as Amazon?

Unless you're a prime member you don't want to over capitalise yourself with toilet paper.

    • +3

This could be useful to anyone having problems going out or living isolated.

      • Woolies and Coles would be helpful for those who need toilet paper today. Not in 3 days time. There is an excuse for everything.

This could be useful to anyone having problems going out or living isolated.

              • +1

@cathole: What about just me and you isolated from the world, no social distance, no mask and Netflix’s Hollywood on loop?

              • @cathole: You can say that again. Oh wait, you did….

          • +1

@cathole: Could this be useful to anyone having problems going out or living in isolation?

        • @ netjock
What, you need a no. 2 and don't have any toilet paper as you were waiting for a woollies/coles special? Or you could be smart and buy it from Amazon when it is on special without leaving the house and without needing it today!

    • Amex currently 20x points per dollar on Amazon

      • -3

Depends on whether you want points that you can't fly with or whether you want cold hard cash. Velocity points that might get devalued or limited destinations or Qantas points that might also get devalued.

Holding onto points until when you might be allowed to fly or redeem for gift cards at fractions of a cent. 20x might just make it 1c per dollar for gift cards.

Each to their own. Like I said, there is an excuse to buy or not to buy. Just don't overcapitalise on Amex points. Just ask those people with 200k velocity points they were saving up.

        • Platinum Edge > Asia Miles (Cathay) can get you business class segments on most One World partners. I have booked about 15 business class legs with them ranging from Cathay, Qantas and JAL via codeshare.

Amex points dont expire. Once transferred, Old transfer rate was 1:1 and sadly now is 2:1 but still great.

For example, HKG-TPE is around 25,000 Asia Miles (50,000 Amex points) at the current rate. NRT-BNE around 70,000 miles (140,000 Amex). I have a bunch of residual miles there from transferring at the 1:1 rate. They still have 18-24 months on them.

Adding to this any promos to encourage people to travel. The cap is 3000pts which at 20:1 is $120 spent on Amazon over the 3 month period- deals like this present a great opportunity.

          • -1

@dantione: Did you also mention the fact that international travel is probably out of the question until next year. Even if you could travel flights will be limited.

Have full seen the full body PPE Qatar airways have introduced for their staff? I'm pretty sure even if you can travel the current climate is less than desirable.

            • @netjock: So? Travel in style when you can. Why not earn the most points possible through daily spend - preparing for travel to reopen.

Even those old points I transferred into Asia Miles have 18-24 months before I have to consider using them. I can then book up to 12 months in advance. Meaning "points usage" up to 36 months on my old Asia Miles. No expiry on Amex points.

I'm not hoarding toilet paper… I buy it when its on sale. I'm nearly out. Its something I always use. Living by myself, 36 rolls typically lasts me 9-10 months.

Seeing as you're so interested in peoples TP buying justification- I've recently transitioned from a lifelong scruncher to a folder. I still feel odd about it. That's a story for another day.

              • -2

                @dantione:

Seeing as you're so interested in peoples TP buying justification-

Not interested at all. Saying not to capitalise on anything. Diversification. You're typical of most people who believes people want to know.

If you read further up. It is other people justifying.

Everyone believes it is personal when it isn't. Good luck if you think you think of travelling in style soon because the vaccine isn't coming soon. link

                • @netjock: Within 4 years mate… Lol

                  • -1

@dantione: Please address people properly. I am not your mate by any stretch of the imagination.

Also 4 years is a long time. You think our tourism operators and hospitality will survive for that long?

You might have a lot of points but finding an airline to fly in might be a problem.

      • Unless I have a much much worse offer, this is only valid on Prime membership payments

        • Hmm upon reading through the T&Cs I'm now more confused.

I thought that it was any Amazon purchase, where the Prime Membership was charged to your card within the same billing cycle. Then there is also mention of Prime Video. Not sure now.

  • Just seen same price at Coles.

    • That's mentioned in the desc

      • +1

        Missed it my apologies

    • no stock in mine

    • once again 'saw'

      • Yeah it should have been “I have seen”. Thanks, english is my second language and it’s always good to learn something new.

        • +1

I was only taking the piss mate, sm1 else did the exact same thing a few threads up..

          Carry on..

          • +1

@Bunsen: I was sincere, I wasn't trying to be sarcastic or anything. I actually must have done that mistake a thousand times and never known the difference :-)

            • +1

@Laziofogna: All is well mate, i was only kidding in the initial comment..

              • +1

@Bunsen: All good. I have opened my 36 pack yesterday and it's so much better than the Sorbent I have had to buy full price during the virus crisis

                • @Laziofogna: I've been ordering these Quilton various sized packs from Amazon for about 6mths now, luckily i was able to snag the odd deal during the crisis to keep me going..

                  My bum loves Quilton! lol..

My oldies use Kleenex but i find it tears too easily, although it is as soft, maybe a little softer over Quilton..

  • When's the Triple Length coming back!

  • Does it feel good?

  • Damn it. I want my $2 back!

  • Adding this item to S+S would really sweeten this deal

    • Doesn’t stay at same price for next delivery. You get charged whatever rate they are selling on the day if dispatch.

  • Same price at big W too

  • $12.60 on Subscription with Amazon.

  • use APPONLY10 on app with Prime trial (first time user?) for further $10 discount. i ordered x3 delivered for $32 plus 320 pts with Amex

    • Promo code doesn’t work.

  • shopback at amazon?

  • GO to Costco and get an even bigger pack! 60 or 72 rolls i think

  • +1

Not worth the massive box these things come in, recycle bin really gets a beating thanks to Amazon

    • +4

When I feel like that I give a little hug to my frangipani in the yard and feel instantly better

  • Beautiful. I need it asap!

  • Not same brand but similar in quality
    https://www.bigw.com.au/product/silken-toilet-tissue-32-pack…
    32 of them $11.25

    • Is silken that good? Quilton is very good. Was always a good deal better than the other big name brands (though I think it maybe dropped a bit in quality over the last few years?)

      • I tried both and didn’t see any different in quality or size (even more number of sheets per roll)
It was cheaper (around $10 before) and BIGW raised their price in March to ~11.

  • Bought 3 for free delivery 😂

    • did u get tissue paper?

      • Not yet. 35 mins later, still hasn’t shipped. Terrible!

  • What catelory is toilet tissue under in Cashrewards, anyone knows? I cant calculate how much cashback I can get.

    • "Health, Household & Personal Care", which is 0% cashback.

      • Oh really? Thanks.. but too bad no cashback.. :(

  • I add in 3 pack but Amazon still charge me $5.99 for shipping?
I chose wrong shipping method… all sorted now thanks OP

  • Are people still panic buying? lol

    • 2nd wave is coming so yeah

    • Nope, but supermarkets are still charging higher than pre-panic-buying prices so this is actually a good deal.

    • No, but we still need to defecate, believe it or not

  • Second wave? 💩

    • First wave is coming. So far it is only practice round.

      • 😃

Came for the first world drama queens….

    • TP groupies didn't like that. ozbargain is turning into a place full of TP and points borders. Any attempt to ask them to reconsider spending is like a crime.

      I didn't -1 you.

  • Saw these at Coles yesterday same price at worldsquare

  • Damn. Sold out as I went to check out. Gg

  • Thanks OP. Bought two packs!

  • Back in stock.
